Thanks for the love guys, this forum still has the best vibe.

The White Train is under just the 2 HS1s now,I've taken the third light into the other room to put above the Sour Hounds.

I'm loving the use of two angled HS1's as spotlights in the last photo. Absolutely stunning shadows!

Growing with LED is all about manipulating the light they produce onto the plants in the most efficient way you can, I think this is why a lot of people don't get on with LED lights if they have grown with HID of CFL and are used to lights that put out a wide angle of light,LEDs grow lights have a certain learning curve.

The White Train day 75.

Just a few more days now,she has gained a nice bit of weight the last week and I'm very happy with how she has turned out, judging by the smell and resin coverage she will be an absolute delight the vaporise.

Superlative growing as usual.

Wouldn't it be neat if the lights had a 4 way laser pointer that projected the footprint to fine tune the best placement, distance and angles. The HS1 would need a smart one with modes or settings corresponding to the different diffusers. Push a button, 4 red or whatever color dots would appear like beacons to guide the light into the sweet spot for most efficient use of the available photons......no need for them to bounce around walls, floor, ceiling and sundry accessories before striking where it matters at full energy.
I have gone for more and smaller LED lights rather than fewer high wattage units precisely for the reason you mention, and I like my lights hanging off center towards the sides at an angle so the photons is directed towards the center of the room, duly taking into consideration the beam angle as best I can.

Next step is a "free" light mover.......glue some spoilers like on an aircraft wing on top of the lights, mount an oscillating wall fan(which is there anyway) in a corner or suitable wall position, maybe 2 cross directional, and with a little tinkering the lights will gently sway with the breeze..... I have this childish desire to have them there photons hitting every nook and cranny on the plants at different angles...... Oh well!

That's understandable, anyone would be over the moon with a plant like that.

HOWEVER......... better get a wig, a fake moustache and some sunglasses ala the kind rappers and such are partial to..... You are heading into trouble with the nute companies, especially the ones that like to spin their line out to a plethora of individual products at exorbitant prices...... You have been warned.......
