What brands have you used?

I have a pre-employment drug test soon and I'm thinking of trying this out for the first time. In the past my brother would always provide me with a clean sub, but this test looks for nicotine as well and he's a smoker.

Should I try to get a sub from a friend or will something like Sub Solution pass with flying colors? I want there to be no doubt.

I really wish this country would get their crap together and make uniform legislature regarding medical marijuana use. It's medically legal in my state, has been prescribed to me by a doctor, and I have a state-issued medical marijuana card. Why can't it show up on a test?

Also, the fact that I smoke occasionally to relax really shouldn't prevent me from having a job where I work from home typing on a computer. (endrant)

If you actually have been prescribed a federally-legal (FDA-approved) cannabis product, such as Marinol or Epiolidex, disclose that and you shouldn't have a problem with a positive test. But "medically legal in my state," purchased and possessed legally, will likely mean nothing to any good-sized employer presumably concerned with federal compliance.

I wouldn't do it! It will likely be worse to cheat than to fail. Cheating, fraud, dishonesty, etc. is a good reason not to hire someone, and could even be illegal in your state. Failing a cannabinoid screening test is now rather common, particularly in 'legal' states. With qualified labor in short supply most everywhere now in the US, I presume many or most employers, where still required to do THC screening, will likely "work with you," such as allow a retest (give you time to clean out, if you really want/need the job).

Otherwise, I'm fairly certain that by now lame attempts such as fake salts solutions and carrying in someone else's urine simply won't work. Even a simple temp. check of the fresh sample provided would likely get you caught (how will your stored liquid be at the right temp.?). And don't they test now onsite for one or more substances/biomarkers of fresh urine?

Not something I've ever used man, but I feel your pain. I have stayed at the same company for a long time as they do not require a regular mandatory drug test, and I know eventually they'll catch up.

I've never heard of a substitute that is foolproof, but I'd like to.

I've passed a few by bringing a sub from my brother in a bottle in my underwear with a hand warmer wrapped around it. I spent a good bit of time with a thermometer and temp strips getting the temp right. I have faith in my ability to do it again, I just don't know if I can trust anyone to provide a clean sub.

This is the thing that concerns me the most when thinking of going this route. Some synthetics (including Sub Solution) claim to mimic real urine with chemical compounds. It sounds good, but I'm a little skeptical.

I really appreciate your response and advise. I agree with everything you said, that honesty is the best policy and I wish I could go that route but I just don't think that will work in this specific situation.

Definitely, consider being honest (confess to legal/medical/prescribed consumption) if caught cheating or after failing the test. Who knows? You might still get the job.

I forgot to update this, but Sub Solution worked like a charm and I got the job. Best job I've ever had. If you're in the same predicament go for it with the Sub Solution!

I’m still flabbergasted that they test for nicotine…..a fully legal product….:nono:
