My first experience with Autofs
Barneyfs Farm Sweet Tooth Auto: March 19, 2013
My Mix:
1 bag Pro-mix ultimate organic
2 cups Organic Bone Meal
1 cup Organic Blood Meal
1/3 cup Epsom Salts
1 cup dolomite lime
5 lbs Worm Castings
Using 3 gallon pots and watering every 3rd day
I needed ingredients I could find locally and these have always worked very well for me. I can do a grow from start to finish with very good results and no additional amendments with this mix. Simple!
If I fertilize at all it is usually in week 3 and 5 with 1 tablespoon Earth Juice Bloom to two quarts water.
Ph usually runs around 6.5 to 6.7 throughout the grow
I veg with 4/42 watt fluero twists or Hps at lowest setting depending on the time of year and heat issues.
Quantum 600 watt adjustable ballast is and has been very dependable.
Running an 18 hr cycle only bumps the electric bill $20.00 to $23.00 a month and that is also running 3-4 small fans and a small heater during lights off.

Indoor Grow:
Four seeds into Peet Pellets and all cracked in two days. After a week in small heated light /germination box I moved them under fluorescent. I transplanted directly to final 3 gal pots in my amended organic soil. One experienced a little fert burn but after a few weeks it seems to be handling the soil better. (FMI) From here on out line the pot/transplant hole with plain potting soil to cushion fertilizer for the first few weeks of growth. All plants are at approx. the same height but a few are quite bushy at 17 days. Growth rate is a little above normal with plants at about 4 to5 inches at 17 days. Compared to photos of my previous grows they are on track and should show a burst of growth in week 4.
Large leaves and obvious Indica characteristics as the stems start to thicken in week 3. I was a little concerned about stem growth in week two as the leaves looked like they were out growing the stems. But by week 3 the stems started to thicken.
Temperatures of 77 to 81 degrees have been well maintained and consistent by adding a small heater to run during lights out which have been reduced from 24hrs during seedling stage to 18 hours in week 3. An unusually cold spring calls for little more attention to heat and cold conditions in my grow area but so far it is good.
Running 300 watt HPS and 4 /42 watt Fluorescent at this time which is in the 3rd week. I will kick it up a little as growth increases if necessary.
Bumped to 450 watt hps in addition to the 4/42 watt fluerofs on Tuesday April 9th.
2 females for sure at the end of 3rd week. About 20 days from Peet to show sex. May be one male but it is not showing any male or female characteristics at this time. Could be a hermy ? Waiting a few more days before isolating them to a different grow area.
Four seeds four fems: Good ratio or just a fluke?
April 10: The large Auto that wasnft sexing did itfs thing last night and it is a female also. I was concerned about one being a herm but now it is showing all female characteristics. Each plant is entirely different in itfs growth structure but all have maintained a pretty even canopy at this time. I am starting to see some good growth during lights out in the beginning of the fourth week. All are healthy and happy. I added a Tbl of Earth Juice Bloom at the end of the third week and I will again in the fifth week keeping in mind that less is more with autos.
April 16: Tuesday: Two plants are showing more Sativa characteristics and have outgrown the two smaller bushier plants. Larger plants are 13 inches and smaller Indica dominant plants are about 10 inches. All are showing multiple side branching and are very healthy at the beginning of week 5 or day 28 and the larger Sativa dominant plant is beginning to bud nicely.
April 19: Fri
Largest Plant is at 19 inches. One at 18 and two smaller bushier plants are 12 and 13 inches. All are budding and look extremely healthy. No males or herms at this time. It looks like the 60/65 day harvest may be possible?
May 17: Wed
This is the first day of the 8th week. One plant in the back is very frosty and started getting red hairs as early as last week. All are showing tricfs and appear to be very healthy. Heat stress caused the tallest a little problem with airy buds and leaves curling upwards. It is improving daily. This plant shows a lot of Sativa characteristics. Buds are getting fatter daily and Ifm running at 450 hps and 4 fluero's. One exhaust fan (continuous) One intake at door, one hood fan and a circulation fan a bud level.
May 13: Monday
Started checking tricfs and of the four, A1 is full cloudy and Bsat is about 70% and pulling nitrogen from the leaves. The Sativa dominant plant that was fert burned as a seedling is building hefty buds although they are a little airy. All of the others are very hardy and really puffing up bud wise. I think they may finish in the time lines that were provided and I am considering a light flush on at least two of the plants (a1 and bsat) by the end of this week or week 9. I am going to give this batch all the time they need. Heavy tric production on the 3 smaller plants. Strong smell! I think these will be very good for sleep!
Harvest:
Harvested Bsat on May 18th (Sativa Dominant)
A1 on May 19th. Heavy tric production and Amber at 20%
A2 on May 21st at 63 days and Amber at 20 to 25%
A3 is running a little behind but tric production is heavy and pistils are changing rapidly.
A3 was still growing when the others were harvested. The extra week produced an additional 1/2 oz of bud and a very intense high. Almost to strong/narcotic for my needs but all in all a very complex, cozy high. An hour of contemplating the universe and then you drift off into the deepest recesses of your mind. Whatfs more entertaining than that?
Plants averaged approx. 24 inches in height and all were very good producers for my personal needs. The taller plant that had a little more Sativa look to it produced a headier high. All the others are very sticky and more Indica dominant. I have a severe sleep disorder and Sarcoidosis of the muscles and tendons. The pain gets so severe during flare-ups that I am now having stress induced seizures. A good Indica helps control the seizures and provides much needed sleep. Something no other medication was able to do. The 3 Indica dominant plants put me out at four draws on a Vape. I had a great experience with Sweet Tooth Auto and I am good for about 6 months.
But already I feel the need to grow!
Dry weight from the four plants produced 6+ ounces of very sticky, sweet and comforting goodness.
Looking forward to watching your grows! Peace!
