New Grower Supercropping tips please

Hello guys, here's one for ya, actually tryed to stop or slow my cream auto as it was growing into my sour diesel, after 2 months she still wouldnt flower so i made room for my diesel.
I cut 7 of 10 major branches off at the stump, then the next week it started flowering and grew a foot in the next 2 weeks into my lights. So i bent every top 90 degrees, yep bent, i have been doing this all week and have now wired them over, put wood wedges between the last 3 stems and this thing is looking REAL good now, i fiqure 2 maybe 3 weeks yet.
Go fiqure.
Ha, the plant that wouldnt die and is turning out awesome looking.

The question of the hour is how far into flower is too far?

Howdy,

Nice thread. :nicethread:

Y'know, I supercrop everything. Been doing it since my early photo days. Got into this auto thing recently and when I got the inevitable height issue I just went on and did what I always do, and them autos just looove it! Really, check my grows.

So...how far in flower is too far? I do it, at times, till the last gasp -- last fortnight or so, if I absolutely have to and, honestly, it just don't hurt 'em! If they're grown right, supercropping, done well on healthy plants, just improves yield. In time, you'll get so good at it you'll be crafting little hedges of nugz!

Excellent thanks for the info Snyder! I am super excited to see how my fruity chronic juice responds to the heavy supercropping this year.

Supercropping really works well on autos in my opinion, try not to go to hard and actually crop and bend, just simple inner hurd breaking of the stem will do it. I personally start at seedling stage and stop just as the flowers start forming. This auto sour diesel from Dinafem produced nearly 150 grams though supercropping. Remember don't actually bend the stems, just pinch gently, then leave to recover, once the stem has doubled in length your good to go again.

Hey, very Nice Result!!! I Grow last Month some Sour Diesel too very Nice Strain what you think? Nor i Grow some Chem City Blues she is 28 Days old do you think i cand do SC on her too? Look at the Pics.. Thx

I do a lot of super-cropping with autos, at first it was deemed not be a sensible thing to do… but there is something very special about some autos ability to heal and grow at the same time, i personally put it down to the hardy nature of the original Ruderalis genetics used in the creation of the auto, and i mean they can take a beating and bounce back in hours, i've also super-cropped right up until two weeks before harvest, while in full bloom and ended up with some crazy swollen ended buds. Here is the extreme end of the spectrum.

Think Different.

Here's what happens when you super-crop late in flower. StarRyder

As you can see the bud at the back that has been cropped has swollen at the end, it was also rock hard compared to the buds at the front of the plant.

Here is an AutoXtreme super-cropped very late into flower.

and the result is another phat ended bud, you can also see the buds along the length forming into clusters and heading upward to the light.

Hazy...I would be throwing down some rep for you if it was available. Thanks for the excellent pics. So are these all main stalks that you are supercropping or are you hitting the side shoots as well?
This is very interesting and I will be playing with these techniques on my portal auto strains next summer outdoors.

Yeah i've hit the side branches too, in the later grows using the canes i was crushing stalks all over the place. for giggles i even tied the two branches together above a node that had been super-cropped.

Haha love it!

im new to autos but im hearing conflicting advice on these auto plants seems everywhere i read any stress to a auto causes lower yields.here theres pics proving this not to be the case.and one must admit squeezing stems till they snap is definitely stress!!!
