I'm a total noob, so I didn't take any pics to support my results here (real scientific, eh?), but here's what happened.
I put a bean in soil about two weeks ago and that plant is doing fine so far. On the same day, I put another bean in the ground and after a week, nothing was happening. I did nothing different than I did to the other plant. I have some Super Thrive and I thought I'd put some on the seed to see what, if anything, would happen. I put about three drops in an about a quarter-inch of spring water and poured it on the soil.
The next day the seed had broken ground. I lifted the humidity dome off it to take a closer look at the sprout. Little did I know that the sprout was sticking to the humidity dome and when I lifted it, I yanked the stem from the seed. Obviously, that seedling died.
This past Saturday I put another seed in a seedling pellet and nothing had happened by last night. I thought I'd try the ST again. Same deal: a couple of drops in about quarter-inch of oxygen-added water (this oxy water is the only difference). This was around 8 p.m. last night. This morning, the tap root was not only visible, it was quite long.
To be purely scientific, I suppose I should've used just spring water like before, but I'm pleased with the results. I know a lot of people believe that ST is nothing but a huge scam, but this was my experience with it. Just thought I'd share.
