:howdy:Ive heard a lot about the Super HPS bulbs with the enhanced blue range for vegging.
Does anyone have any experience with them?
Do they produce?
Does the type of HPS bulb matter?

Any opinions are appreciated

The Powerplant ones? I have a power plant superhps 600 myself. I've used it through out the entire cycle with the plants under 24/0 and haven't had any problems with it. It doesn't run very hot at all. I have my plants about 7" from the light with no cool tube and haven't burned them badly yet. It's a good bulb but I'm still going to go ahead and get a Sunmaster Pro for my next grow.

You can have a look at the pics in my grow journal if you want to see what the bulb can produce. I have one that's going for harvest soon.

I ust bought a Hortilux Super HPS 600. Greners has them for like $90 this Holiday weekend. Also picked up a Lumatek 600 digital ballast and a Magnum XXXL hood. Total package including shipping $480.

Yes, bulbs do make a difference. I've used the Hortilux with expanded blue spectrum with very good results. I used it straight through the whole grow and they vegged very well. Not all bulbs are the same. Ones from companies like Hortilux and Sun are manufactured specifically for growing MJ.

I've been running a hortilux super 400hps straight through vegg and flower with great results.

same here,i run a hortilux 1000w hps for both vegg and flower with great results.
