OLD REVIEWS Super Cali Haze Anyone Try It or Grow It?

Title says it all. I am curious about it. I want to know if its as magical as it sounds? Momma told me the only dumb question was the one that wasnt asked.

I have grown this strain twice. My avatar is a pic of the first one I grew. It was a beautiful plant that grew to over 4 feet tall and had 22 colas. However, the trich production was quite low and the buds were very fluffy and not compact at all. I let this plant grow for 120 days hoping that it would frost up but it didn't. My wife said the smoke was okay but nothing spectacular. I have two more that are just about ready to be chopped. I topped both of these so they are just about 3 feet tall. One has fat, crystally, compact buds while the other is almost identical to the first one I grew. Let me not forget to mention that I did yield 5.25 oz of dried bud off that first plant. Now I am still a noob with only 3 grows under my belt, but I think (and from what I have read elsewhere) that there are quite a few different phenos of this strain. Apparently some are better than others. Other than that they appear to be a nice easy plant to grow. I had 100% germ rates, it did autoflower, and they are vigorous growers. Hope this helps.

Thanks it did help the more input the better. I like that X-mas tree look lol. 5 n 1/4 elboz aint nothing to sneeze at. Cant wait to hear how the smoke is off the other two, and how the yield is. Maybe you just have to ge 20 seeds and hope to get the right ones in the mix

I've been growing SCH all summer, have picked 3 and have 4 more almost finished. It is a very sativa dominant strain and the sativa shows in the bud structure, giving the looser and airier buds. I've had two different phenos, a shorter one with a main cola and several side branches and tall, lanky ones with multiple side branches and bud sites. The 4 that aren't finishing are looking the best and I'm expecting at least a pound from them. Being sativa dominant it's a good day time smoke and I'd rate the potency at about 6 or 7 out of 10. In all honesty, I'm not that impressed with this strain and doubt I'll be growing it again.

I liked my SCH. Sativa isn't usually as strong as Indicas. I usually grew Durban Poison for my day time smoke. The problem with the Durban is that it doesn't finish very early and the SCH does. Very similar strength wise. I think the Durban has slightly better taste. The yield off of the SCH was very good I got 10 ox off of 4 plants. All the plants were similar phenos tall and branchy. Easy to clip. I will be growing SCH next year. If there ends up being a DP auto I sure will give it a try.

I think it's the name that throws everyone. How can any plant named Super Cali Haze not be the best damn plant in the world. But the truth is in the taste, and the stone..... I mean in the medicinal properties. I was ready to try it until I read this report, now I think I'll wait......

Did you have any bud rot leaving them so late?
