Hello all,
last summer i had my first try with autos and it was great. So i started looking at seeds.
i have a question about super autos:
can be toped or SCROGed? you see i am an outdoor guy and height is a concern, plus i would like to maximize my yield.
what you think?

Hey Greek
I'm not sure about being topped, but I don't see why there would be an issue scrogging or lsting

Oh, you can scrog super autos for sure! Someday I want to have a place to do like 5x5 ft screen outside.

Hello Greek:)
Yes you can top superautos but it's far better to lst or scrog, a friend had Chaze in horizontal on a balcony and the plant liked it a lot.
I had two outdoor runs with 4 superauto strains but I always let them go vertically with minimum support, the average height was about 2,3m:) so lst is a must if you have height concerns.
One plant as MuayThai could easily cover 2m^2 and grow 1,5m+ branches, this strain is really a monster, also the new ones promise a lot.
Sometimes I think of Hazy's caning technique and how would it work with superautos:grin: Maybe you can try it and post a journal:grin::grin:

Are you guerrilla or 'easy access' grower?

Cheers

Thanks for the unswers everyone.
Balarama im a guerila grower, and after my first go with autos last summer i realised that autos are great in many aspects.
For this year i want something that will deliver a bit more. so i was looking into the Mui Tai you mentioned as well.
for my last grow i used biobizz. and will also use them again this year.
is the feeding regime for super autos heavier than normal autos?
in what height should i start scrog?

The nutrient requirements are strain dependant, but they all like nutrients, even MuayThai which is 95% sativa(sativas generally need less nutrients than indicas).
I suggest for a good soil mix and don't bother with much liquid ferts, maybe just once or twice in start of fast flowering.
Scrog I never tried, so can just guess, but I think keeping the stem 30-50cm above ground should work well, depends on your desired max height.
I would also suggest starting them in early/mid april indoors and transplant in early may to harvest in mid-end august/start september, depending on strain.

thanks for the info really appriciate it Balarama!!!!
my set up is at spot with 9 hours direct sun light and 3-4 in shade, but the weather here is good to start out even in mid april. last summer i started around 15th of April and harvested at 10th of Jully my normal autos. the difference with your spot is that we do not have any rains up to mid October, the weather here is 100% dry and hot with plenty of sunnshine. so i wanna hope that i might not encounter your prombems with rot. last year had non at all.
good to know that sativas dont need that much feeding, that @!#$ is expensive...
in one of your threds was mentioned Rippen fro GHe, do you add that staff 10 days before you start flushing or you use it during flushing?
i will investigate my spot more carrefully during Xmas holidays and start preparing.
im thinking for this season:
2 Mui Tai (Flash Seeds)
3 KO (Cream of the Crop Seeds)
3 Narcotic Cush (Cream of the Crop Seeds)
3 Cash Crop (Cream of the Crop Seeds)
3 Narcotherapy (Cream of the Crop Seeds)
3 Sour Diesel (Freebies from Dinafem)
