I split 1 pack between the 1gal and the 5gal, so I used 1Tbs in the 1gal and 4Tbs in the 5gal. Dosage instructions say 1-3ts per gallon of soil. I've only given recharge once at the very beginning, and then a second time the day before yesterday, but only to the 5gal. My theory on that is that the recharge helps make the nutrients more available to the plant, and so should only be used when the plant starts looking a little hungry, else you could potentially set yourself up for accidentally overfeeding, though I could be wrong. I have seen cases where recharge is used regularly in the infirmary and has contributed to excess N being displayed in the plants, but I would need to check with @Mañ'O'Green regarding the science involved.
