Problem: I started them b4 testing the soil and water pH.Soil was at 6.9-7.0. Water was at 7.2...They looked fine until about day 3. That's when they started curling, and turning yellow. So i adjusted the water down to 6.0 with Earth Juice crystals. Plants immediately showed improvement. I figured i'd pH at 6.0 and they would drift up a bit as they dried? How badly you think they are stunted? The roots are healthy color but not filling in so fast. Another week or so b4 transplant?

Medium/grow method: 3 parts Fox Farms Light Warrior, 1 part Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Will transplant into 3 gallon plastic nursery pots @ 1 part FFOF to 1/2 part FFLW, with some added coco b/c I like the texture it adds. Going to be an outside grow once conditions are slightly more favorable soon.

Feed: and supplements used: NONE

water source: Well Water, Earth Juice crystals for up and down

Strain/age: FastBuds LSD-25 / 12 days

light used: cfl's and sunshine

Climate: Right now, 65-80 degrees average, 55% humidity average. Zone 9A, South East GA, USA.

Additional info: I was planning on using a couple of these for seed stock. The colloidal silver method.

Are you sure they are not overwatered ? If not then may be ph , soil problems , bad environment. This cups have a holes ?
Um, I don't know. Do they look it? I'm asking y'all. haha. I thought it at first, but I really don't see how they could be over-watered with a trusted seed starting mix and only watered the one time when before trouble. I know what a basic soil should feel like and drain like, etc.. I am not a noob to growing. Thought I had the basics down, for the most part. They don't feel like it. They aren't water-logged, or muddy, etc.. All I know is the pH adjustment helped, but there could be more wrong I'm not seeing, like maybe over-watering, etc.. I just don't know if they are too stunted to recover and what to do from here with them.

Well , last two photos yes they looking like overwatered... that why I asked if you sure you don’t overwatered them. If all is good and you decided this is a ph problem (not hot soil ,wrong soil ph, bad aeration , environment ,etc) then only what you need to do is waiting for some improvement.
Slow growth in this stage is normal ( when plant forming roots system).
Sorry my english bad.
Good luck.

Mate I'm a noob but from my experience ( very limited ) I would say hot soil and over watered. when I was growing in a soil mix my water ph was 7.4 and they got that for 10 days
@Waira is your man to help you mate
red:thumbsup:

Yeah, the last two pics were at day 3, I believe. The rest of the pics are from today, day 12. I should've clarified that in the beginning. I haven't decided that pH is the only problem, just that I know it had to be at least one problem. But, thanks for your help, friend.

If nothing happens try to transplant them into another soil ( lighter). And use something for roots after all this manipulations (roots excelurator, rhizotonic , voodoo juice , etc.) and reduce light intensity for first days ( they will recover quickly).Hope someone more experienced coming here and will help you ;)
Good luck.

:toke: LW soil is fine, even the OF added won't make it too hot,.. but OF is shit soil anymore IMO,.. [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem soil I see here! their quality control is a joke, some bags OK, other are pure shit,.. usually with badly low pH (low 5's I tested) :finger:....undercooked shwagg,.... use something else! Roots Organic, Verimicrop,...
That said, something might be off with the soil, pH, contaminants, who knows,.... if you saw improvement with lowering the water pH, stay on that,.. water at 6.3-ish, that dead center of ideal pH range for soil.... start feeds/ soon too, at weak dilution... what nutes do you have? Your water, is it very hard, high ppm?

Thanks, Waira, that explains a lot! Earlier today I transplanted them into a mix of 1.5 parts LW to 2 parts OF, with about 30%Coco and 10%Perlite added to it. While transplanting, I saw that the roots had improved some. We'll see how it goes!.. I have some Alaska fish emulsion 5-1-1, and some Dr.Earth Home Grown 5-7-3 dry fertilizer I use for my other gardening stuff. Had planned on using the fish emulsion on them at some point. For flowering, I hadn't quite figured that out. Thought about bat guano... I don't have hard water, I'm pretty sure. I did a soap test before, but I don't know the ppm... Yeah, I need to find me another soil asap!!! My FastBuds Green Crack seeds will be here very soon!
