stunted or normal ?

I have not grown with MH so I can not answer that question. I can barley handle the heat from LEDs. I think a lot of HID growers start their plants under fluorescent? I am trying to think of who grows MH. I rarely do this but lets get some help answering this question. How about it @Gladiators We need an experienced HID MH grower answer this seedling question.

I’m your huckleberry. It all depends on how high they are mounted. I personally run mine at full strength and just mount them 3-4’ above my seedlings. But I use 1k watt MH so it’s different. I would say if you are under 20” or so then reduce power(assuming your temps are in check) anything above that rock it out at full power

Another trick too is to use a humidity dome on seedlings. They like 70% humidity and unless u are somewhere with high RH, a dome sure makes it easier - here i used a cake lid - and doesn't have to be this big either

i actually did this until they popped then took it off a few days after.. and started watering a cpl shot glasses around the stem. i think i am going to put them under a 600watt hps and see if that helps kick them into start. the only other thing i did was start them at 24 hours light then changed to 20/4

i been having alot of heat issues thats why i went for 50% but i got an exhaust fan going now and a portable air con that i am going to use if temps dont lower. they were getting into the 35c range

I leave em under the dome until they have a couple sets of leaves and run 20/4, 24/7. Are you checking the PH of your water? That will cause problems as well if the ph is too high or low

yea i have a bucket i filled and PH to 6.0 that sits in room. and use as needed. maybe i will look into the humidity and see if its to low.. should i keep going with these girls or should i bite the bullet and start over ?

Hi i planted 4 barneys farms Zkittles OG on aug 8 they popped 2 days later so its been about 15 days and there not as big as i assumed they would be there in soil with gaia green amendments as the nutrient im only watering around the stem and its under a 400 mh at 50% about 2.5 feet above. temps have been high but i am getting that under control now

any info or help is really needed and appreciated! also when do i decide when to top dress since i havent been watering all the soil ? do i count it as day one once seed pops ?

heya @Like2Learm and :welcome: to afn! :toke: i've caught up with all this & the main issue i see is that of waterin around the stem :nono: all seedlingz need for the first week or so is a misting of the soil...and yes -> domez for the win! :yay: (also misted underneath ;) ) then, when u do start light wateringz, water in a ring, away from the stem, so the lil rootz are then forced to find the water on their own, and thus, grow :smokeit: and don't worry, they will find it, lol ;) ppp

edit: sorry, can't speak to the light issue, cuz me growin under the sun, hehe :cools: ppp

That is totally ur call on that one - some will say yank em and others will say "start wat ya finished"- you may want to start a journal on here if you start over - that helped me a lot getting this indoor grow stuff figured out enough to grow some decent medicine - just a thought :cool1:

Definitely don not start over. These ladies are healthy. They WILL be fine and give you some killer bud, I promise just take the advice of these fine folks here And we will get you to the end. You can tag me every day if you’d like. New auto growers are the lifeblood of our community. Without them, we would still be lurking in the furthest recesses of the interwebs. Feeling like some weird outcast folks who no one would talk to cause we were “auto growers”
As a person trying to erase the preconceived stigma associated with autos, I love helpin new folks out.
