Studfinder

4 weeks update. Been selecting on speed and symmetry. Getting a scent now from all of them by rubbing the stem near the top. Down to 3 GGs. Back one is huge, symmetrical, least scent and an outlier from everybody else in the tent. Middle is loudest but has offset branches. Closest is 2nd loudest but symmetrical and spaced well. Think I'm gonna keep 2 of these.

2 CMDs. Very similar. The one in the back has less leaves and longer branches

1 BW and 1 SD1 left and they were the standouts from those. Really like the shape and leaf count of the BW and the sd1 is very squat and indica looking

Good idea to keep notes on why you selected each. This will help you decide future dusting shenanigans.
Boys look excellent. Really liking SD1 fat build.

That one stands out too, typically my male plants are tall and lanky to try and catch that wind for pollen distribution. Maybe not what nature would select but if short and stout is the goal he’s a winner. Looks slower to flower too maybe it’s just waiting for a crazy stretch. Nice batch of studs you’ve got @JP1, one of my favorite threads to creep on right now

1st sign of pollen dropping today so I put paper cups underneath and taped some stems to a cup to see what happens. Anybody know the baking flour directions to mix with the pollen for storage? These are the 5 that I'm keeping

Never used baking flour, well, maybe once to make the pollen go farther. if you transfer the collected pollen into seeds vials and include a couple dissicant beads, should be in good shape.
Store Labeled….in the freezer. When ready to use, remove from freezer and allow to reach room temperature. Opening the tube before getting to room will draw moisture into the pollen and kill it.

I've read about using flour to essentially water down the pollen so it stretches it out farther

Yes, and that is why I did it…once. I think the recommendation is to bake the flour a bit( to ensure dryness) .

So you think unnecessary? I just have no idea how much pollen to expect here and no idea how much it takes to pollinate a branch later on... I'd like to have enough from each for a couple pollinations. I've got vials and beads already in stock

Maybe @Mossy has some tips. Im just a haphazard chucker
