Hi all looks like I've had my led''s to close to my plants and had very small stretch. lights are on 20-4 now and coming up to 6 weeks old if I drop my lights down to 18-6 do you thing this would encourage them to stretch up a bit led''s are now 90 cm/ 3 foot away and there Mars ll 2 1600w plants I have the issue with are dp auto extream.

The MarsII units are powerful.
I run 3 of the 900w MarsII's.
With each of them I run them at the top of my tent.
I let my ladies grow up to them.
I had the same results you got on my first run with them.
Short little trees.
Now I keep them high and let the plants grow towards them.
I found it to be easier to put a single plant on a bucket to adjust the proximity to the light, rather than raising and lowering the LED.
My lights average 5'/152cm above the pot.

I grow in 15l autopots and this is my first time with auto's and led's and decided to swap my 1000w metal halide/sodium with the 1600w marsll I'm impressed with the lights just they have caught me out my first time but we've all got to learn

There's always a learning curve.
The bud density I have been getting from my LED's is easily equal to HPS.
But much lower electric bills

Hi Welshboy I doubt if dropping light hours will make them stretch. I'm no expert and haven't grown that strain so not sure if there are different types of genetics coming through. There are loads of people that have grown that strain very successfully so I'd ask one of those or read through some journals.
