Mephisto Genetics Strawberry Nuggets, single plant Ebb and Flow

Yes, depending on the strain of course. You don't want to do a Large Strain in that space. But a medium or small strain will be fine. I use Coco and small pots. Plants don't get rootbounding effects in Coco like other mediums. You could try Halo Rings and Coco. You have a pump and Rez already. Just throwing out options. I don't do DWC anymore because the plants get too big for my liking. But you can do it easily, with your current set up. Just don't grow a Large Strain in a 2x2 and in DWC. Between Ebb and flow, I would do DWC. But I or Coco over both. Don't go bigger than 2gal of you try Coco. Flood 2-5x per day in Coco. Almost impossible to overwater once they are a few weeks old. I think you would Enjoy Coco and Halo rings or Drippers. No root pruining needed. Use Char Coir Coco. And 1 or 2 gal pots of Straight Coco. Treat it like Hydro. If you have another tent set up and haven't started it. Go Coco bro

Do you think I could do most mephisto strains in that space dwc? The Sativas that haven't been released yet are probably too big, but I'm wondering if most their other stuff would fit.

I have most the Dwc stuff already including pump and stones, just need net pot I think. Was going between dwc and top feed drip recirculating w/ hydroton since I have a giant bag of the stuff.

I was a tester for the new Sativas for Mephisto. Super Orange Haze would fit. None of the rest will from those 4 Sativas unreleased. Ovoid any LARGE strains. No Ripley's or SODK. No Hubbabubba. Cosmic Queen would fit, she is a shorter Sativa Dom. Fugue State can get large. Most Medium sized plants should fit. I would suggest DWC over drip with Hydroton. If only doing 1 plant, do DWC and give lots of Oxygen. You won't have to worry about root space. Jjust add a lot of air. A 4 inch air puck or 2 and a couple air stones with a nice airpump.

Thanks for the in depth reply man!

I remember seeing your post with some of those sativas, I think in the testers thread. Crazy how long ago those testers went out and still haven't been released. Not that I'm complaining, there are a lot of meph strains to grow, it's just wild how time flies.

Yeah, the Super Orange Haze was smallest and fastest to finish. Mango Smile was big and fast for it's size. People liked it a lot. Pink Panama had 2 different Phenos, least favorite of the 4. Hubbabubba Haze is large and nice and sticky. All grow fast for Sativas. But large. Take up a lot of space besides Super Orange Haze. It was 1/2 the size.

Your tent is the same size as mine. I haven't had the chance to grow the new sativas, but the largest Mephisto plants I've grown to date are Cosmic Queen, White Chem, and Forgotten Cookies and all 3 fit in the tent (one plant at a time). I grow in soil and have been able to put two plants into the tent if I staggered the germinating. For example, when one plant is around 45 days from seedling I'd start another plant. Two mature plants in the tent at the same time isn't really possible due to space constraints.

Beautiful SN!

I was flooding 15 minutes on 3 hours off, and yesterday changed to 15 on and 2 hours off. Lights running 24/7, so I flood 24/7 on that cycle.
I was going to suggest flooding more often. Possibly for less time, but more often. Try your new schedule and see how it goes. Keeping it more moist will actually keep the roots from growing as fast. Roots SEEK moisture. So they stretch looking for water. If they have more water, no need to go looking for it. The roots cone out of the holes in search of moisture. You want those roots inside the bucket to stay moist to avoid excessive drying out. Good call stepping up the frequency. You on top of things. If they look worse, I would personally do away with the fan. But hopefully the additional flooding will balance it out. Good luck slow

I'm honestly surprised this plant is still alive.

For at least a week, maybe 2, she has only been getting flooded up to the bottom 1 inch of her roots.

This happened because the holes I drilled for drainage were too small and the roots quickly plugged them.

She never wilted, so I never thought to check it until Friday... So I have drilled some new holes and she is getting water again.

This explains why she got overdosed at 1.0 EC. She dried out above the 1 inch line causing nutrient concentration to skyrocket.

Not expecting much from her at this point, but here she is at day 60, doing surprisingly well considering...
