After a reasonable first grow of widow auto that turned into an incredible smoke, its time to start again,
Though due to limited funds this grow is a bit of a hotpotch ...
The widow auto is in a 70/30 coco, perlite mix, while the strawberry blue is in a 60/40 coco, clay pebble mix..
Both are in 25ltr fabric pots..
The tent is 60 x 120 x 180
Using a 1000w bestva led lamp, it has 100 x 10 w bidgelux / epileds stated at 185w draw..
Have a 184 cfm extractor using 5 inch conduit through a buddy products carbon filter vented through an external wall.
Two 6 inch fans for circulation inside the tent, a small humidifier. A 40 watt tube heater inside the tent and a 250 watt convention heater inside the room the tent is.. also have a small dehumidifier to use during peak flower growth, i had issues with the relative humidity raising above 70 % during the last grow..
The grow environment is quite controllable.. usually have a 3 c difference in lights on and lights off..
Maintaining 27c and 40 % rh at the moment
Have a blue lab ec trucheon, ph pen
Ph up and down fluids. Ph 7 and 4 buffer
Am using the same fox fams nutrients trio as the last grow. Big bloom, grow big , tiger bloom..i only used around a 1/3 of each 1ltr bottle on the last grow, and vitalink cal/mag supplement,
Im hoping to veg the strawberry until the widow is finished then flip the lights to flower the strawberry.. the last run of widow was 81 days..
Have the lights on a 20/4 cycle. Helps to keep a reasonable temp without the need for extra heating.
Im looking forward to any helpful tips / advice.
I've included a pic of the last widow i grew, managing 3 oz of dried smoke of each one.. hoping to improve on that this time round,

dude

Did you actually find a strawberry blue in Autoflower? That has to be my all-time favorite sativa photoperiod plant. Is it world of seeds? I want to grow it!!

It sounds like it's a photo since they're gonna switch light after the auto is done.

I guess I didn't read through I was so excited at the opportunity to have a strawberry blue in Auto flower. I actually wrote world of seeds about a year or two ago and told them if they wanted to develop that one and Autoflower I'd be happy to help them. I didn't get a response though [emoji853]

No the strawberry is a photo, it was a freebie from the order of widow from pyramid seeds.. don't think ive ever smoked strawberry blue.. but i prefer the sativa hit... so this should suit me fine...
Will be training the two of them under a screen as ive a limited height to play with..
Ive a feed schedule in mind for the widow, the last run was a learning curve, when i went above .9 ec they suffered a little...
Guess the threads id read about less being more with some feminised autos where spot on.....
Not to sure about the strawberry feed , will be starting them on a light mix next week, will be a matter of keeping an eye on the strawberry and maybe increase the ec above what the widow will be on, guess its a matter of trial and error...

I wish they would get that strawberry blue in Autoflower it's a very strong sativa. The closest thing two that I've seen in Autos is Mexican Airlines by fast Bud seeds.

Yeah, I can say that if Autos are kept a little bit pale green they get bigger and yield more. It's a little hard for me to tell exactly how green they are since I grow under LEDs and I never really get an accurate color even when I switch to my wife lights.

Day 7 , im happy with the show so far..
The widow is coming on fine, its not shooting for the stars , has a nice looking new set of leaves coming on, its had a first run of fèed this evening,
1.5 ml grow big and 1ml of big bloom to 5ltr of water ph'd to 5.8.
EC reading of prepared mix is .7 the background ec of the tap water once its sat for 24 hrs is .5
The strawberry took a day longer to sprout, im not stressed about its look, its a reasonable colour, holding its leaves out nicely. Im just a little concerned about the high EC readings I'm getting from the run off, its at 1.2 the prepared tap water im using is only at .5
I believe the hydro gold mix it is in has no nutrient content, i don't want to be adding extra nutrients and causing stress, just a little perplexed !!!

Day 12 . Things is looking ok? Had noticed the leaves a little pale and slightly curling at the edges, im thinking they need a little more feed..
They have been on a mix of .
8ltr water , sat for 24 hrs. EC .5
2 ml grow big / npk 6 4 4
2 ml big bloom npk .1 .5 .7
The final EC after ph adjusted to 5.8
Is .7
Have increased to 4 ml of each to raise the EC to .8 and see how they get on..
Raised the height of the lamp 6 inch as well,
