New Grower Straight's Dragon and Gigglejuice's w/345w of cfl

hey guys! been lurking a long time, a few people here know me and we have chatted it up. basically i have seeds coming in the mail and im just waiting on them! some should get here today and the majority should arrive next week sometime. But before the seeds got here i just wanted to post up a couple pics of my grow space and see if there is anything super wrong with it!

so the demensions are 21" x 17" and as you can see in the picture, the height isnt really limited as i can make modifications up to about 6 or 7ft if needed. so tell me what you think! i am a first time grower and i am on a budget at the moment for this first grow, here in the next couple months i should be upgrading just about everything here, so its not a long term cabinet, just for 1 or 2 grows!
im using 6 23 watt cfl's as of now i have 4 2700's and 2 6500's

yeah man... looks good... like the guys said... being able to move lights up n down is about the only thing i see right off... is there decent ventialtion?

thanks JM, and yeah the light fixture has 2 hooks on it so i can move it up and down the two chains i have hanging from the ceiling. and as far as ventillation, im just going to have a couple lttle fans circulating the air inside. thanks for the input =)

a little update today. my buddy germed some green house big bang seeds from herbies and he gave me one of the seedlings to start while i wait for mine to come this week. so i put it in the ground and gave it a little bit of water, i have been keeping her moist in the soil. i planted her right into the 2gal bag that she will be growing in for the next 9 weeks, so all possitive vibes are welcome. with that being said guys i am posting a few pictures of the set up now, all comments and advice are welcome! keep in mind this is my first grow, so ill have a lot to learn from all of you! thanks

the inside of the box right now, i left the two 23w 6500 cfl's about 14" above the pot... this okay?

looks good bro but your goona wanna find a way to get fresh air in.....reason being plant asorb carbon out the air from its leaves....with out fresh air...its like youre suffacating them......let you ladies breathe

thanks, im not sure if you can really see it in the picture, but on the door of my cabinet and on the roof there are some custom little air vents that i made. the one on the bottom has a fan pulling air into the box, and the little outlet on top is so that the air can exit the box. Im not sure if that is good enough ventillation but i hope so =)

okay guys so i have some updates, idk if my pictures are working or not. sometimes i see them and sometimes i dont. so tell me if you know how to fix my pictures plese! and so the big bang didnt live as most of you saw, so i planted 5 more seeds and they are magic dragons. so far we are on day 5 and 3 seeds have came up and are green =) i gave the 3 that sprouted their first water today and they seem to be enjoying the light. also please tell me if my light positioning in the 3rd picture is okay or not. thanks guys any help is wanted and needed as well! :smokebuds:

okay guys ive had a crazy week so far! first off i ended up having to make a new cabinet due to some security issues, my old cabinet was basically some emerency blanket taped to the corner of my closet so i made a new one before the bug sprayer came! youll see more of my cabinet in post's to come, its much better and a little bigger! and since im going with good new first this week, i planted 3 duurty's this week and 1 has come up so far, so im excited about that!

now for the bad new, before i post pictures! this morning i got up and went right to my cabinet like usual and i noticed that one of my magic's that sprouted was starting to get yellow at the leaves and curl up a little bit, so i checked the PH of the soil and it was super ridiculously low! so i started checking the other pots that used the same soil, and finally narrowed it down to the compost i was using, i dont know why it was so low because when i mixed it i tested it after and it was exactly 6.5. but now it was sitting at 4.0 so i did the only thing i could do although it was probably not the most favorible choice by any means. i went to the only store here that has any soil and i got some MG mixed soil, it may not be the best, but its PH is damn close to where it should be and i feel like it was my best option at the time for these plants. i transplanted them tonight about 1.5 hours ago, send me good karma and lets hope for the best! i guess we all have to learn some how. first off a pic of the new cab, its not a great pic, but there will be more!

this little plant grew kinda weir and was not very stable, as you may see i stuck a little stick in there to help it steady up a bit. this is also the plant that was curled this morning showing yellow. when i transplanted it i burried it a bit deaper to give stability to the stem (day 13)

this plant was actually the smallet to begin with and is still a tiny bit smaller. this plant started to look a little droopy as weel, i sure hope they can fight through this! (day 13)

this plant has been the strongest and healthiest seeming all the way from its germination. it hasnt really started to droop or yellow any, so im hoping its strong enough to last (day14)

this is a duurty dragon that is just breaking the soil (was when i took this pic anyways, she now is open with two tiny leaves) she escaped the curse of the acid soil and will hopefully be transplanted into a great ph'd soil in a few weeks (day 3)
