waiting on butter to fully melt, running crock pot on high for this, after melted i'll turn it to low. i'll skim the crap off of top of melted butter 2 or 3 times, then i will add the ground up buds and a little of my previous made tincture(just want a splash of high proof alcohol added, only high proof alcohol i have in house)then i will cook it for 2 hours at between 165 and 180. everything added

Is that it? Do you filter the bud out of the butter? I'm trying to find a good recipe for butter at the moment that is not going to overpower the flavor of the product that I am cooking. I don't want a brownie that tastes like it has mustard greens cooked up in the middle of them if you know what I mean.

sorry no responses so i finished cooking it on another forum, yes when done let it sit and cool for a 1/2 hour then strain threw cheese cloth and let harden up in frig after wards. if your not using it too soon freeze it then it keeps much longer frozen

Hey TBM, man water cure is great for removeing the taste if one so desires. Me & my buddies been doing it w/ excellent results.

great advice everybody. i just got busy and have to get use to the pace around here, little slower and more relaxed

Muddy has a link to the directions...

Its pretty simple. Put bud/clippings in a mason jar, fill w/ water so there is very little to no air bubbles(none is best but I found that hard). Repeat for seven days, allow to air dry & done.
