Indoor Squid's Second Grow-Duurty Dragon, Diesel Ryder & MI5

MI5 Male Smoke Report
Alright alright alriiiiiiiiiigggghhhhtttt
I have some pretty sweet news in Squid Breeding history today, just so you know. As you know, if you've been following along, I have been drying out some of my first grown, cut, and pollen harvested male for several days now, in plans to do a smoke test.
Yesterday it was pretty dry, but I had already smoked so I waited until today, about an hour ago. It wasn't a huge bowl, enough for two good hits. I haven't smoked at all and clear headed as suggested by cres. It didn't taste great, but it didn't taste awful. I have had regs and mids that taste much worse in my day. It was NOT harsh at all, but not necessarily smooth or anything, after all, it's male flowers dried and not cured.
I cashed that second hit out and was like, 'ok, that was that.' I am used to almost immediately getting a buzz off of the dank I smoke regularly(female buds of course). I waited a few minutes and logged onto here for the day and got to making my rounds and had sorta dismissed getting high for the most part then bam! Like a ten minute delayed train I tell ya and I shit you not. It wouldn't do me a bit of good to bullshit you guys anyway. I am just surprised because cres says he has a hard time finding a male that will get you high, and my very first one has done the trick. In all honesty it was slightly intense for about ten minutes. It is slowly fading away, but damn. A whole hour basically on two hits of a male.
So that means that pollen should be a great candidate. It was a really fast on showing sex and matured and dropped all pollen by 4 weeks old AND got me high, so the potency is there for sure. I am pretty effin stoked.
A supreme shout out to cres, I wouldn't be here without you, man.

Hey Squid. Never even crossed my mind to smoke a male to decide if it was a good candidate for breeding! Shows the dedication and hard work that true breeders go through compared to the guy who just wants some extra beans! Good luck with your crosses and everything else

Thanks man I appreciate that. I am definitely dedicated. I can assure you there will be no crosses from this Squid that I didn't smoke both parents.

Hey hey folks!
Just thought I'd throw some pics up of my two males that are left. That first one I posted and already stored pollen from was Charlie. He is a nice potent MI5 candidate.
First up is Dan. Diesel Dan I call him. He is the culprit to why my other room that they're in smells skunky as a mo fo. I like it, haha. Coming along well and just started opening up a little today. First three pics are Diesel Dan.
Next four pics are Frank. He is insane. Standing right at about 16 inches tall and just covered with pollen sacs. 4.5 weeks old and none have opened. This is the other MI5 male. Obviously the bigger pheno, haha. Hope he is potent in the smoke test too. There are even little side shoots all over covered in cauliflower.
And then there is the beautiful, majestic beast known as Oliver. He is no Canna plant as you can see. But he holds down the fort for sure. It seems he is in mid speech.

Yeah I saw that yesterday I think it was. I wouldn't worry. I have found that a lot of the times, Canna grows weird in the early stages and straightens all out after it gets going good. No worries. I'd prefer you PM if you need help instead of posting in my journal and not even be involved in what's going on here.

actually thats happening to me as well.the leaves on that side isnt growing quite right either.if it dont sort out after a few sets ill remove the branch....branches? Hey squid nice male.you dont get to see enough of em grown out.I think thats one of the cooler things about auto's you see more folks keeping some males for pollen than you do with photo's.

That's true I don't see many male pic updates, if any. haha I plan to always do that as a starting breeder. I like growing them. They are exactly 50% of what is going on here.
By the way folks, the males are on 24 hours of light and I really think the four hours makes a difference. And they only have 48 watts of T5HO between the 2-4 of them. They grow bigger and faster than my females! haha
