Hey folks :howdy:
I've got some good news for a bit of an update on some progress. I have been gone for a day and couldn't take a look at my tent until the lights came on at four.
The MI5 female(I should name her, hmmm) is doing great. She seemed to really like her feeding, I think she can take more, we'll see next feed. Some of that coloring on the tips is gone and she is shooting out pistils like crazy and is about 6 inches tall or so, I didn't measure. I am excited to actually have a good one going, haha.
One out of two Diesel Ryders showed me his balls today! I am totally fine with that. He is out of the tent and transferred to the MailBox with the others. So at least that one DR is going to pull through it seems, and I get some DR pollen now, too. Awesome. I like that I am getting males so I can go ahead and get some pollen collection going. The other DR is still doing ok, looks like a female, but I don't know for sure yet. I hope so.
The one DD I had left has been placed outside at the corner of my garage for partial sunlight for now. It will gradually be hardened off and tucked in the midst of my tomato and pepper plants in the yard to finish off. I think it will be well hidden and not noticed amongst all of my veggies and things I have in the back yard. I am hoping for it to be male so then I will have pollen of all three different strains that I started. I can only fit three males in my MailBox so that one went outside, doesn't look great anyway. Not too concerned just didn't want to kill the last one like I did the other three.
The one MI5 of two males could be pulled, shaken and collected now, but I think I may wait until Sunday to collect. Then another week or so maybe for the other MI5 male and maybe the same or more for the DR that just showed. If that DD outside shows male I may pull him back in, not sure. My MailBox just runs my males until collection times, nothing fancy. There are two 2 foot T5s for up to three males that will fit. It's a meager 48 watts of T5HO, but it seems to work great. I just let the males run 24 hours in there, no timer and it's a little quicker anyway, and will be fine. I did notice the little cauliflower-like flower top that is on all of my males. Seems like this would be included in telling sex, besides just looking for the pollen sacks, I dunno. I just noticed that I could tell from that and then look under and sure enough, every time they had that little top they had balls and were males, I just never hear anyone mentioning that about males. Anywho...
I have some action from ALL 5 new Duurty Dragons. Three are sprouted above the surface, fangs included, and two I can see are starting to stir around. It's only been about 48 hours so we're all good, those two should be out by tomorrow.
Sorry I have been sorta lazy with pics, but we all know what tiny little Canna sprouts look like, I don't feel like I need to post pics of them. I will get around to a good pic update for everything eventually.
Thanks for stopping by folks.
