I already have the spider Farmer 4000 illuminating half of my 8x4' tent.
Been using it for a few months and the results have been good. I'd like to buy something with comparable performance and coverage space for the other side of a tent, so the other 4x4' area in other words.
They from looking over the specs and reviews and can't see much of a difference besides the Mars Hydro being over $100 cheaper.
Anyone have any insight/advice? Cooler running would be preferable, if possible.
Thanks.

Hey, it seems that the big difference is that the diodes brands. TS series lights are our most cost-effective lights. If your budget is 400+usd, the TS3000 will match 4'x4' grow area. if your budget is 500usd+, @Atulip is right, the best choice is TSL2000x2 for your 4'x4' area, total 600w, you know that more watt, more results. And they are dimmable, you can adjust the light brightness at different stages.

@NoviceProfessor did you ever choose which one you were going to go with? My friend has the SF4000 and man I haven’t seen anything like those! I have the mars hydro reflector series light and love it but I want to switch my HPS out for a quantum board set up. Just wondering what you chose or if you were still deciding. It looks like they are almost the same except with SF using Samsung diodes and MH using some other brand. I’d really like to know if it’s worth the price difference!

I haven't made up my mind. I'm loving the SF4000, but I don't have much to compare it to.
I've got 3 of these "1000w" COBs Amazon product ASIN B07ML3NDDYSo i might put a couple of them in there temporarily

I just haven't been able to bring myself to pull the trigger on a new light yet. There are also the cheaper chinese brands that look very similar and seem to have similar specs, but I'm skeptical.

Like this one for example: Amazon product ASIN B08343891S

That Spider has some weird ppfd figures, but I guess it's because of it being 4 boards put together.
The SP3000 with only veg the other half

If I had a 4X8 tent. I'd have two FC4800 and REALLY grow some canna! LOL! :baked:

That idea occurred to me, unfortunately it was after I'd already bought the SF4000.
I guess it wouldn't be too late for me to try 1 of the FC4800.
So many choices I may do another run with the SF and 2 of cheaper lights i have while I'm trying to make up my mind,

If you’re looking to get rid of the SF let me know. I’d definitely buy it from you, if you’d be comfortable with that lol. Although those fc4800s do look nice

There isn't anything wrong with the SF4000. They are using the same Samsung diodes as the FC4800. So really it just comes down to price and layout of the light. The philzon cree cob and the maxisun you posted are not in the same league as the FC4800 and the SF4000. I did see a philzon on amazon for pretty cheap with the same Samsung lm301b diodes but I'm not familiar with the driver they use and I would be a bit suspect. But the price on them is pretty good.

The Samsung LM301's are the hot diodes right now. There is some differences in the bins but who knows what company is using what bin. And the difference will still be marginal. So my advice currently is go with the best light for your $ that is running the Samsung diodes and meanwell drivers at the wattage you are looking for. Alibaba could be your friend.
