Well the time has come for me to begin my grow log. This morning my Speed Seed's Auto diesel and Auto Blueberry popped. They have found there way into peat pots and a residing aproximatley 13" from my Mars Hydro 600 watt LED. The gals will eventually make there way into 3 gallon air pots. Temps under the light are at 82 and the over all closet temp is at 77. Humidity is low. Averaging around 35%. I have them on a 20/4 light period. Any other factors I should be accounting for in my description? I'm excited for my first auto grow, and first grow period. So far this forum has served as a pretty awesome refrence and support system, and I'm exited for more!

How hot is too hot? I just double checked my thermometer and it is reading 82 degrees Fahrenheit. What is safe temperature for the plants to prosper at?

hey Musky, all subbed up. optimum temp most go by is 78f at the top of the scale, but I seem to be in the low 80's a lot of the time. my triangle dragons seem to like it there more than the high 70's. i'm generally happy if I can keep my temps between 70 and 85f

Elsa! Sweet new prof pic. Cool stuff, I appreciate your input. I'm going to try and maintain that range. :vibe:

Push Diesel, PUSH! Mr. Or Mrs. Diesel just broke the the surface of my soil. Kind of odd, it only has one rounded seed leaf, not two. Uncommon or no? Also, the first set of tiny true leafs have white tips. Interesting I'd say, is it something I should be concerned about?

I wouldn't stress it. Just watch and observe. Occasionally you may get something like this

I decided to kill this one off because it seemed to get uglier as it grew .

:vibe:Right on brother, the stress is at an all time minimum. Ha, yes those are some homely looking plants. Thanks for the reassurance my dude.

Blueberry is above ground as well! My room is sitting at 32% RH atm, and remains within the 30s. I initially placed a plastic baggy over them to supplement for my low RH. Upon further thought, the plastic bag seemed counterintuitive in the sense that the plants need oxygen and air movement. But then, paradoxically RH I presume is a pretty crucial element at this point in the plants life. Opinions?

Also. I re-refrenced Magic's basic LED guide and saw I have my plants about 10" too close. That is of course, if a 600 watt MH reflector panel considered high powered? Or does it fall into the low powered category? Regardless, I have dropped the plants to roughly 24" from the MH.
