New Grower +Speed Auto by Sweet Seeds (1st grow)

This how it looks currently, and i have a small fan making a gentle breeze. At least i think it's gentle, it doesn't blow her away but she does shake quite a bit lol, like those bobblehead figures for cars :D It's been under that breeze as soon as the first leaves showed up. I spin the pot around daily to allow breeze from all sides. Do you think i will need to prop it up?
Also i was thinking of starting with a small dose of silica to strengthen the stem, should i?

That's great that she's been shaking in the breeze! It will harden up the stem & make it stronger! Silica is the shit! I've been using Silica Blast @ 1/2 strength in the seedling stage & full strength once they hit veg. I haven't needed any extra support since I started following the directions & my plants have the strongest thickest stems ever! I bought a gallon of it & still have about 1/2, but I've read somewhere here that there's a better option out there with a higher % of Silica. I haven't needed any yet, so the name didn't stick with me, not to mention my bad memory! :peace::pass:

Thanks, good to know! I'll start with some silica my next watering at 1/2 half strength and i'll stop when it reaches the flowering stage.

I run it all the way though flower until I start flushing. I read somewhere that besides making the stems stronger, it also helps if the plant gets stressed somehow! :peace: :pass:

im growing these at the minute too! Ive put them through some tough times by accident but they seem to be doing well :) ive got a diary up too

Nice, i'll follow you along.

This is how they look like now, it's been almost 2 weeks so i assume i'll have to start feeding soon.

Had a rough start as well but they seem to be doing well now. The 2 smaller plants i planted as a backup, i might remove them later if the tent is getting overcrowded. My main focus is on the biggest one.

and makes it harder for pest and mold to mess with your plant. Silica is all around good for your plant.

I started adding silica too. Along with Root Juice. Sometimes i add the Bioheaven, Alg a Mic and Acti Vera, but now i just use Root Juice for all the plants.

I'm just not sure should i combine the silica with other stuff, or should be added separately? Usually i add the silica first, mix and wait for 5 minutes, then i add the rest. Is this ok?

Silica can raise the ph really high and make the other stuff you add fall out. I never had this happen. I ph down after I add the silica first like you do. get it close to 6.5 go from there. Thats just what i herd you should do. And i also herd people use it as ph up as well.

I see, thanks for your reply. I'll keep it in mind if i ever have pH issues.

So far i've been adjusting pH after i add everything because Biobizz nutes lower the pH as well. After mixing everything, i add a bit of citric acid in granules until it's 6.5 or 7. I heard the bacteria in the soil can only lower the pH and not raise it, so i'm careful not to go below 6,5 pH.

Some people told me i don't have to adjust pH in organic grows, but i think that only works for super-soils or living soils, especially in large pots.
But this is just a Light Mix in a relatively small pot, i feel safer when adjusting pH. My water is very alkaline and hard, pH 8-9.

I add silica before anything else! Cal/Mag+ & then nutes. First 1/2 of grow I have to add ph down, but after I start using more nutes for flower I use little to no ph down. If anything, I'll add some Perpinator to bring the ph down, or SM-90 to bring it up! :pass:
