I just set it up with some starter seeds to poke around and see how I can best my results. I will post pics sooner or later. Loving it so far and so are the girls!

That leaf mutation you had couple pages back has happened to a bud stem on my moonstone amnesia :d5:

Just gotta say @Eyes on Fire you grow some truly beautiful plants under that SK CC I think your doing a stellar job. Stubbled on this thread after seeing these lights in the flesh at my local (and possibly new employers) hydro shop, must admit I was blown away by the size of the units especially the 400+ units! Way way bigger than I actually thought they would be.

I've been thinking about going down the led route after seeing auto cobs in action however with shipping, import tax etc (I live in the uk) it will likely cost me a good deal more for a similar wattage output where as buying direct from the local shop hopefully with added staff discount i could well afford one...... or maybe two!

My tent is 80 x 80 x 160cm so about 2.5 foot square so I do wonder if I could run two of these systems over four plants pretty well? I notice you use one unit over three females in a similar space so how do you find the overall light spread?

Keep doing what your doing bro, some of finest plants I think I've ever seen I can only imagine what they must be like to smoke .

well Thanks bro. uhh, well, to be honest when I grew them I didnt have many reflective surfaces near the plants .so in a 2 or 3 foot squared tent with clean reflective surfaces ,those lights should do really really well. one thing to note as they tend to grow taller verses wider for some strains. so as long as you know they'll tend to go UP verses outward and you'll do excellent. White COB's are good. this CC-100W is also a really nice light. I have done four smaller ones under it actually. twoi two light in that tent I think it'll perform well. just buy a small clip fan for each blowing air down, and across the fins from above. its better imho. to smaller fans clipped to the string or cable holding them up gives better heat dispersion too imo. happy growing.

Now that I've been using the CC for about a month, I'm never going back to any other source of LED's or HPS. Spectrum King's all the way! I've had chinese manufactured LED's in the past which would heat up my room by a couple Celsius but the CC does not at all. Perfect temps the entire grow. 100w instead of 250w!!!!!!!!!!! Same growth, if not better in my opinion. I love being able to see all the shades of green and hopefully other colors soon too. It's quite mind blowing how far LED's have come. I'm glad Spectrum King takes the game seriously. I've been also looking into Cobshop for a few smaller LED's to pair with the CC though because I'd love to just push it even then. I love your setup and hope to some day reach what you have.

Good to hear your digging the CC, anything that lowers my outgoings whilst giving me superior yields (per watt used) is a good thing in my book.

It's a toss up for me over a CC or two perhaps if funds permit or four individual auto cobs combining to a similar wattage, decisions decisions???

Quick bit of arithmetic at least for my benefit being in the uk

2x cc equaling 200w actual power draw = £600

4x auto cobs totalling 220w actual power draw with angled reflectors (if needed? Only a extra $20 for four) and postage = £480. This doesn't include AFN discount or import taxes, if there are any.

Leaning toward auto cobs once more.

@Eyes on Fire what size pots were you using?

I have a spectrum king 100w closet case and a 2x2x5ft tent on the way and im wondering how many plants and what size pot or pots i should use? I know this probably depends alot on strain size lol
My goal is to use water only with gbd soil, mammoth p, recharge, and optic foliar overgrow.
I always had to add bloom nutes and camg in mid to late flower in my micro grows with half gallon pots so i would like to use pots big enough to ensure the gbd soil is enough for the whole grow.
I was thinking one 3 gallon pot would be big enough to let the plant fill the tent and hold enough gbd soil to finish flowering.
But i would much rather have a variety of strains to enjoy so i was thinking 2-3 two gallon pots but i dont think those will hold enough gbd soil to finish flowering.
Thoughts/advice/suggestions?

Here is the setup:
Secret jardin ds60 (2x2x5ft)
Spectrum king 100w closet case
4x8 phresh filter
4in vortex fan
Active air fan speed controller
2 six inch clip on fans

:pass:
