Dutch Passion Spark's "Think Different" 1k Autopot Grow

Can't wait to see how this one comes out!!!

Me too! I feel good about this run. I can see growth in them everyday, I can't wait for it to get explosive.

Nice setup sparks :pop:

Thanks GB! That was a whole new setup for them girls. Im also upgrading my old grow setup which is a 4' x 4' tent. Just replaced my old 400 watt with a new ipower 600 watt. Once the photos I have in there finish up, Im going to set up two 5 gallon dwc buckets to run a couple more Think Different :head:

Well after looking at Hazy's grow I feel like mine might be a little behind. My 3rd set of leaves are coming in now at day 13. Hazy's were working on their 4th set at day 14 and spanned across almost the whole surface of his pots. Any suggestions? I just hit them with Canna Coco A+B and Rhizo with an ec of .79 ph 5.8, Should I up the feed a little bit?

Hey sparks, what are you using to lower pH? Rhizotonic is a bitch of a pH upper... How do you do it? I'm scared to fry my babies with acid! (When using Canna A&B, part B usually buffers really really well, but What about with Canna Start? I'm using Formulex)

Im using Viagrow natural ph down. This is my first grow using the Canna line. I have noticed that the ph drifts up. I made up a batch last night, ph'd it to 5.8 and now this morning it is 7.0. When I start using the resivior next week I'm going to decrease the amount of Rhizo and hopefully that will help keep the ph in check.

Rhizo really kicks up the pH. Pretty soon I'll be doing a second round with coco. From my experience and a couple of emails to Canna, its really best to prepare the rez the night before (unless you prepare and feed everything straight away)

Its also cool 'cos that leaves time for the chlorine to evaporate and the nute solution to stabilize. Whats your base pH? (I had fluctuation during my grow of pH 6 to pH 8 !!) That also factors in.
Next rez, dont pH until the next day and start taking notes. You'll see that you'll start using less acid (vitagrow is citric acid), so less chemical stress.

I was also bubbling my rez, which Canna does not advise. They say that yes, it does force oxygen exchange, but so pH rises over time. And also that it will have no significant effect, water temperature being far more important in retaining O2. So bubbling only really makes sense if directly applied to the root system. The release of chlorine also affects the mixture a bit, so what I started doing was to bubble the rez (just water) for a few hours to help evaporate chlorine, then prepare the mix, let it sit 12 to 24h, then pH correct... And many times pH correct wasn't needed at all !

Started having really stable pH mixes and even run-off started being more consistent :bong:

My tap water ph is right at 7, I have not however checked my ph of just the base nuts, usually I ph after everything has been added. I normally make a 5 gallon batch which will last a few feedings. So the first feeding of the batch is usually right after it has been mixed and I pop an airstone in the remaining mixture. I'll definetly try mixing in advance and waiting to ph to see if that helps out with the ph fluctuation. :smokebuds:
