Fast Buds Spanglish grows G14, Northern Express and Rhino Ryder, English y Español

@Spanglish do u think the cuts helped with resin and thric production. I believe it works so I'll continue doing so. By that point it can't affect the yield I cut mine then decided to just take the tops and let the rest stay for a while. She still didn't show any negative signs from the cut or cutting the tops off. Strong plant doesn't care what happens to it, it does it's thing regardless. Congrats on a very nice harvest

Been a busy couple of weeks, but got the last of Northern Express dried and jarred a few days back not to bad considering it was all popcorn till i stuck it back under the light ;)

Everything is now curing with the jars being burped once a day, and will try get some dry nugs pics real soon. Final weights are in and although is less than i was hoping for, am happy enough considering the changes and 10 days away just as thing started going tits up this run.

Rhino Ryder
138g Wet < 26g Dry (81% weight drop)
G14
196g Wet < 45g Dry (77% weight drop)
Northern Express
107g Wet < 24g Dry (77% weight drop) + 8g Dry = 32g Dry

Had a fair bit of trim this time round so treated myself to a cheap and cheerful 5€ hash shaker, and started to process it into kief today with some pretty nice return so far, will try to grab a few pics when i do the next batch ;)

Hey pal sorry for the delayed reply been a bit busy here and then keep getting stoned and forgetting lol.

Did not really pay enough attention this time round and just made the cuts as a stoned thought after what you said ;) Will be trying it again though and will try get some before and after closeups to see if i can see a difference, seemed to be a big increase in smell though 24hrs after making the cut which i guess is some part of the plants defence mechanism, and technically the stress could cause some kind of affect on the trichs, so can see the thinking behind the theory.

YEah they say the plant amps up production trying to fight its last fight. I found a discussion which seemed to be between a couple old timers and they've been doing it for years. I thought it worked but I don't have a camera good enough to take a picture that close. All I know is the g14 was super sticky and covered in amber trichs.

There is definitely some logic behind it as you say the stress will cause her to fight back, and as the trichomes are part of the plants natural defences it seems perfectly plausible that as a defensive response they could change in someway. Will definitely try it again and attempt to get some comparison pics to see what is going on.

I just use my phone camera for the closeups. Get the camera up close and after zoom in, then back the camera away till the image is in focus before taking the pic, comes out best using good natural light as the flash always seems to mess up the focus and cause blurring.

G14 was the stickiest of the whole tent here, and are the only nugs i have not sampled yet and am waiting on them to get a good cure as they look rather special ;) Rhino Ryder is my goto at the moment, as it is already a nice potent smoke after a couple of weeks in the jar and has got a real nice sweet and spicy flavour just starting to come through. Northern Express has a strong rotten berry smell but the buzz was too weak and not really doing it for me once dry and in the jar, sampled some more last night after 10 days curing and definitely has got a bit more of a kick now, with a deep empty headed sleepy stone that's not for when you want to get anything done.

Congrats on a nice successful grow and here's to another

Cheers mate, not going to be starting the next grow till the beginning of August, but when i do is going to be a comparison grow to try tweak a few things to see if i can make future grows more successful and try to get this new setup dialled in.

@Spanglish tag me when u start it sounds interesting.

Ok will do ;) Going to have one on my old Bio Bizz schedule for veg and bloom, with Green Planet CalMg and in bloom Atami Bloombastic PK booster. The other will be with Mealfrass and CalMg and also with added PK booster in flowering. Am also going to try running just the veg spectrum of the LED to start with instead of full spectrum the whole way through, as it seemed to cause to strecth a bit to much. Strain is going to be Sour Stomper, but may very likely end up putting something else in a 1L AirPot to squeeze in for a bit of variety ;)

Good choice. My next order of seeds is gonna be some sour stomper and it's gonna be in the first run of that seed order. Yeah I'm not using anything other then the fox farms trio (big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom) plus calmag I'll check the brand later. Looking for a good organic bloom booster to help the tiger bloom. I was thinking of trying overdrive.

Been wanting to try Sour Stomper and looks like i will finally get the chance ;) Seen some good past grows using the Fox Farms gear so sure it will do you good, i am going back to the Green Planet CalMg this time as i prefer the feeling of control i get seeing and knowing how much goes in per feed, compared against pre mixing a powdered nute into the soil.

Have not used Overdrive so not to sure if it is a straight up PK booster, or is best used alongside the rest of the AN PH Perfect range to give the correct boost in the NPK ratio overall when combining their products, seen a few people using on here though so sure if you asked about could get a solid answer.

As far as i can work out there seems to be very few truly organic PK boosters available, BioTabs have just started selling a organic PK booster tea which is about the only fully organic PK booster i have found available here. http://www.biotabs.nl/pk-booster-compost-tea

I have used Plagron Green Sensation in the past with some very nice results, and even though not organic can be added to organic feeds without any problems and as with most PK boosters is stopped 2-3 weeks before harvest and did not leave any bad taste in the finished product. Spoke to the guy in the growshop this time round and from what he carries in stock narrowed it down to three products that could be used in a organic grow, he said all three would be good products to use but said he personally prefers Bloombastic due to it having some extra Ca Mg and Fe in it also.
