YEah they say the plant amps up production trying to fight its last fight. I found a discussion which seemed to be between a couple old timers and they've been doing it for years. I thought it worked but I don't have a camera good enough to take a picture that close. All I know is the g14 was super sticky and covered in amber trichs.
There is definitely some logic behind it as you say the stress will cause her to fight back, and as the trichomes are part of the plants natural defences it seems perfectly plausible that as a defensive response they could change in someway. Will definitely try it again and attempt to get some comparison pics to see what is going on.
I just use my phone camera for the closeups. Get the camera up close and after zoom in, then back the camera away till the image is in focus before taking the pic, comes out best using good natural light as the flash always seems to mess up the focus and cause blurring.
G14 was the stickiest of the whole tent here, and are the only nugs i have not sampled yet and am waiting on them to get a good cure as they look rather special
Rhino Ryder is my goto at the moment, as it is already a nice potent smoke after a couple of weeks in the jar and has got a real nice sweet and spicy flavour just starting to come through. Northern Express has a strong rotten berry smell but the buzz was too weak and not really doing it for me once dry and in the jar, sampled some more last night after 10 days curing and definitely has got a bit more of a kick now, with a deep empty headed sleepy stone that's not for when you want to get anything done.
Congrats on a nice successful grow and here's to another
Cheers mate, not going to be starting the next grow till the beginning of August, but when i do is going to be a comparison grow to try tweak a few things to see if i can make future grows more successful and try to get this new setup dialled in.
