Mephisto Genetics Sour D takes a shot at Toofless Alien

Day 31 Toofless Alien
Dang time flies. Really hasn't been anything to report as the plants, nutes and light seem to be doing just what they are supposed to do. Both are 17" tall, even canopy. Just starting to bloom. All I've done is slowly take off what I don't think will get big- would prefer 4 big colas.

Nice bud, looks like kinda like a mainline. The TA is the most lanky plant I've grown, a very fun plant to train. Good choice with the soft rubber ties, I see so many folks use unforgiving materials lol.

Day 43 Been a minute since last update. I had a bit of a problem with Fungus Gnats. Bad enough that I had to get rid of 2 other plants I had growing in the same space. Copius amounts of neem oil, trifecta and finally nematodes seems to have taken control of the situation. These pots provide plenty of hiding spaces and direct access to roots.

The Toofless girls seem to have been healthy enough to get through the bombing. Did seem to stall out the flowering a bit so I gave em a shot of Dense and it seems to have gotten em back on track. Next issue is one is getting too tall so had to start super cropping.
All for now

Looks like mine. I had an early accidental topping. The stem broke while training it. Mine stalled for a bit too afterwards. Honestly, I am glad thst it got topped accidently. This plant is way too tall and lanky structure wise for my preferance. If you have a smaller space, dont even consider doing this strain. Between seeing others and my own, you def need a lot of room to tske advsntage of the full growth potential of this strain. I am not sure how well it will fill in, but the spacing between nodes and stretching is excessive vs most strains. The stems are thin and will not have the strength to support buds later on without being tied up. Luckily I have many different flowering areas with pkenty of room. Otherwise it woukd have outgrown the original tent it was in. Yields are going to be just ok by the looks of it, unless they fill in and get massively dense colas. They structure is just too open for my preference and could easily take up more space than it appears it will yield. Next time I grow it I will be super aggressive on training early, to try snd tighten the structure up. Good luck, slow

Yeah, IDK, maybe manifold for just 4 pig colas?

Could be an option. I see one scrogged thst is doing better than I assumed it woukd at filling the screen. Mine has more space between nodes than I prefer for scrogging.
Hard to say out running it to the end to see how she fills in. Plus mine was topped accidently. So it may have grown differently had i not dropped fan on it. But I see most others are tsll and lanky...so its obviously how she typically will.grow. good luck, slow

Day 71
Looks like I need to keep an eye on these gals. Some parts of them look like they are just about ready other parts are still clear. After cutting down the PE and seeing what was left of the root system, I'm pretty sure these gals will show the same. Pretty sure that may be the problem. I have started flushing them especially after having to use the Trifecta. It may be safe but it certainly had an odor. They have sugared up well and are putting of some good BO of their own.
Seeing how well they have come through the gnat thing, I think the @Prescription Blend nutes were just what the doctor ordered.
