Problem: Sour Stomper seems very tall and lanky. Stem is strong, but node spacing is crazy wide. She is super tall and seems to be spending all her energy growing upwards. She is outdoors in a garden that gets 10 hours of direct sun. More light info below.

Medium/grow method: coco/ffof/perlite/organic amendments. She is in a 10” pot.

Feed: and supplements used: Dr Earth 5-5-5, sensi calmag

water source: tap water, dechlorinated, ph’d to 6.2-6.6, mostly rainwater

Strain/age: Mephisto Sour Stomper , 16 days

light used: cheap blurple LED for first week, sun for last 10 days

Climate: highs in the mid 60s, lows in the 40-50s. Past four days have been in the 80s almost.

Additional info: ask me anything else, I think the pictures speak for themselves....

Hey man, she's looking nice and healthy! Not much you can do outdoors to stop them stretching as far as I know(if getting plenty of sunlight). 10hrs of direct sunlight should be plenty to keep her happy, I think it's just genetics at play .

yeah, that's some gear grinding light change there, likely behind this odd stretching,... what has the light sched' been like?

She was 20/4 inside, lights off at 11p on at 3a. Outside it’s lighting up around 5a and gets dark around 10p.

Hmmm, maybe not so much the light chenge after all, though the Sun's intensity is hard to discount! It might be she's hauling a lot of N right now, if it's well loaded in there,... could be a pheno' thing too, you simply may have a leggy grower, hard to say this early,.. is she still stretching a lot?

Yeah she’s still stretching quite a bit. Nice thick stem, she’s already covering her nodes in pistils, but I can’t imagine much will come off her. I’ll update with a pic later today.

She’s so tall it’s hard to get a pic of her. She’s almost as long as my entire arm. I’m curious to see if she produces more than a couple grams, she’s getting further into flowering.

:smoking: pics are fine mate, show's plenty now that she's grown more,... distinct lack of lateral branching is what's going on here, which just happens sometimes, not sure why? In this case it's like all the hormone activity got focused at the top main,... Lack of light can make them leggy, low night temps too... I saw your light info above, should of asked how much actual Sun she's getting?

She starts getting direct light around 10:30 and she can see the sun until about 8.
All the other plants in the same area seem thrilled, but she spent longer under the blurple than any of the others.
