Problem: Yellowing of leaves lower to upper. (See the long story in additional info below)

Medium/grow method: Soil, I believe it’s biobizz but not sure what else they might have in there.

Feed: and supplements used: @Greenleaf Nutrients Nutrients MegaCrop 2.0 with Bud Explosion and Sugar Candy plus Epson salts pH to 6.5.

water source: Rainwater (collected in 5 gallon bottles way out in the country. It pH from the sky is about 7.2 with an EC of 0.1.

Strain/age: Supposedly photo Gorilla Glue #4 / 3 weeks since the flip

light used:AutoCOBS by Cobshop.net. 4x3500k and 1x6500k

Climate:70-78°, Humidity 50-60%

Additional info: These girls were a rescue from a first time grower that had no idea what they were doing. They were using the wrong light cycle and had 6 inch plants starting to flower. We got them and realized they needed reversed back to veg. My buddy had the room and time for a reveg and did a pretty good job of it. He didn’t have the room for flowering the ladies so they came my way.

He was feeding FloraNova Grow and when I got them they had yellowing leaves. Lighter towards the bottom and dying off. i suspected cal/mag and a little under feeding. I immediately gave them a feed per gallon of 5g MegaCrop and 1 tsp of Epson salts. This is what they looked like back on 1 April.

After their initial feedings of MC, they got worse. This is 2 weeks later.

so I upped it to 5.5g of MC and still 1tsp of Epson salts per gallon. One week later and it’s still struggling.

So, at this point my timing and scheduling were starting to collide and these ladies were dying to bud. So I added Bud Explosoon and Sugar Candy to the 5.5g MC and 1 tsp of Epson salts Plus I have seen GG4 stretch before and knew I had to get these ladies going and hope to fix the issues as we go. So they got flipped.

Since then, every other feeding I have been spraying them with Epson salts water and continued to feed as stated above. The pics below are from today. The one on the right looks better but is still having some yellowing and die off. The one on the left is showing it worse than the other. The yellow leaves on top of the left one, in the first pic, were falling off near the bottom and laid on top for the photo.

Considering that these ladies most likely started as clones and we have no idea how long the original grower had them before giving them away, we have no idea how old they or the soil is.

So my thoughts at this point are to up the MC to 6g per gallon along with the feeding calculator recommendations for Bud Explosion and Sugar Candy and perhaps upping the Epson salts. I still think they are just hungry little monsters and I’m not feeding them strong enough.

Any help would be appreciated.

The bottom pic looks fine.Start feeding bloom nutes as soon as you see them start to flower and also start using cal/mag

Thanks, they already are flowering and have added Bud Explosion and Sugar Candy to the mix. This morning, the one on the left already had some more lower leaves yellowing and falling off. I have not been able to get any cal/mag during these times, which is why I was adding epsom salts.

Do you know the PH in the root zone?
This looks like a potassium deficiency or toxicity the condition looks the same.

As you can see too much Magnesium can cause a Potassium deficiency. You may have used too much Epsom salt?

The bottom outsides of your pots look to have a salt build up so this may be one of those rare occasions when I would recommend at least a partial flush followed by a good bloom nutrient at 80% strength and some Mykos or other beneficial microbes.

If you have the product to make a foliar feed - Fulvic Acid 5 parts to 2 parts Kelp, a pinch of B-vitamins, AminoA and yucca powder. This will do wonders for your plants

Ok, the more I look at this and the rate of die off is way to rapid on the lower leaves to be a deficiency and I do believe you are right and it is a toxicity. So I loaded up five gallons of water with just 4g MC per gallon, pH to 6.6, and flushed both with 2.5 gallons. Final pH of the water coming out was 6.3. Tomorrow will be adding in some bennies via Recharge Or Mykos.

Go ahead and add the bennies ASAP. I think you have caught this in time that they should recover.

By the way if it is biobizz you should be going in at 6.3 PH and coming out ~ 6.1PH.

Forgot to mention, the PPM (x500) going in was 600 with just the MC and it was coming out at 1100ppm.
just hoping I haven’t screwed these two up so bad that they won’t recover being it’s already week 3 of flower. Thanks for the help.

I could tell you were dealing with a salt build up just looking at the outside of the pots. Did you rinse them off well also?

I have had worse looking plants make it to harvest with quality bud so don't worry they will make it.
