So I was out side this evening putting up Christmas lights and I keep getting a wiff of some stinky shit and I know that smell very well. I have my ventilation system running up the old chimney that used to be the old furnace vent our new furnace vents out side of the house. So I was wandering if anyone else has had trouble with cheap carbon filters. I'm probably going to have to invest in a high quality carbon filters. Does anyone have any recommendations I'm only running a 4 in in line fan that that really loses its flow with my carbon filters hooked up. I was thinking about upgrading to a 6 in fan so if I use a carbon filters I can still maintain good negative pressure in my grow space. I don't normally run my carbon filters but this grow seems to be extra smelly. I'm only a few days from harvest so I'm not to worried about this grow. I need to figure out something for future grows and it's not like I'm growing 20 plants only 2 in a 30x30x84 in area but they sink lol. Any help or recommendations are appreciated thanks fellow green thumbs.

I know some of them carbon filters can be pretty pricey. I need something that doesn't take up to much space and it has to stay in my grow room. I just know I'm going to have to spend some cash I just want to make sure i don't waste any money.

Some strains can be so potent that you need a NEW filter to catch the odor.
that could be my problem but I haven't used my filter that much . It was about the cheapest one I could get

Are you positive it's YOUR grow?
 I've seen that happen once or twice!
I'm pretty positive. I would know that smell anywhere. Last week when I got home from work my wife told me she could smell it outside. I did not have my CF on yet so I put it on and thought problem solved. Than today like I said I could smell it with the CF installed. I think I just need to spend some money for a really good one. The one I have is a cheap ebay job I'm sure it is pour quality.

Are you drawing thru the fliter or blowing thru? Don't know that it'd make a difference, but might be worth a shot.

I just took the pre-filter off and it seems to have increased the negative pressure in my room so I'm hoping that helps like. I said I can chop them any time now I'm just trying to let them go till I have some more amber tricombs . Like Tom petty said the waaaait is the hardest part lol.
