Thats what we do at AFN! Push the limits and bust myths! I've cloned several autos. Just took 2 new cuts last night as a matter of fact. They dont grow like photos, but works well for reversing to collect pollen and/or making s1 seeds.. Which is what I do with my clones.

I heard the clones start at the same point the mother was at when clipped?

Correct! I take my cuts right before preflower and shorty after the show sex. 10 days later I'll have roots.. A few days later, the clone will start flowering. Then, I either start the reversing process with sts.. Or I drop some pollen on the clone and make seeds. Beats the pants off of wasting a whole auto plant for either process.

Just to clear up any possible confusion.. You will NOT win a grow comp of any kind using an auto clone. Lol.. You will lose.. Terribly.. Unless its an ugly plant comp!

But yes, it is very possible to do, and super useful in certain situations. Just not for grow comps! Haha.
