It pretty clearly works to bust out the lower branches. If I continue I bet I can get an even canopy. Pretty fun to play with solo cups.

Very nicely done indeed! I plan on doing some ponytailing too if my tortoise of a plant ever gets big enough lol

A quick question for those of you who have finished a plant in a solo, or any other very small container...
Has anyone ever ran into a problem with severe restriction causing a herm?
The thought just crossed my mind and I reasoned that the rootbound induced stress could create hermaphroditic tendencies?
My solo grow will be isolated from the rest of the garden simply for the ease of watering multiple times per day once she develops a thirst,
Im kinda actually hoping she throws a few male bits so I can make good use of the pollen:eyebrows:

Not likely to happen. I think the hermie phenomenon is caused exclusively by things that kill or threaten to kill the female flowers. It is triggered by destruction of the apical meristem. But sometimes there are secondary triggers, I wouldn't rule it out as possible, just not likely.

I equate autos to fish in a tank in the aspect that they can sense the environmental restrictions of a container and grow according to its size.

That would come from the genes more than stress. But there's one thing u got to worry about in solo cups it's water..Some people say that a plant will die if the coco gets dry that's not true my whole garden went 3 days without and water and the coco was powder dry maybe I got real lucky but I'd not advise it I was put in hospital and no one to water for me and ive got 2 lady's is about half way and nice buds on them..

If u want one to be hermie let it go until it can't that will trick it into producing male flowers but u have let it go until it has stopped growing most will get male flowers..I read this I think it was @Mitch from mephisto is the one said it would cause one to get seeds..

Oh I LOVE the sides of the cup! Wicked cool, you got a feisty girl on your hand

Yea she is a hefty one. I’m just hoping that she doesn’t herm being and accidental pollenated plant seed. It would be pretty crappy if I had to scrap it. No signs of preflower yet so I’m hoping it still is an auto as well....
