I'm curious as to what you folks use for your watering vs feeding schedule. I'm growing in Pro-Mix with some worm castings. My plants popped around 2 weeks ago and got their first light feeding yesterday. They are loving Elite nutes! The folks at Elite suggest feeding every 2-3 days when using soil. That seems a bit high to me, but I am no expert. I have been feeding once a week, using just water if they start to dry out in between feedings. So it averages out to feed once, water twice. Should I try Elite's suggested schedule? What is your feeding / watering schedule when growing in soil?

I always use a ec meter to check how much she needs.. Best value are 1.6/2.0 with soil (dont know the ppm values)

Do you get your measurements from checking the runoff? Or do you take a little soil out of the pot, mix it with distilled water and check that? The ec meters that I'm finding all measure liquid, not the soil itself.

I take the runoff.. With soil is too much work..
I always use destilled water for an measurement..and than u can. Decide what it needs..
(sorry my english is not perfect [emoji23][emoji482])

Thank you! I did a little more research, and I don't think that I need to get an EC meter. I have two TDS meters, and I just found a formula for converting PPM to EC value:

Multiply the ppm reading by 2 and divide by 1000.
Thus, if your ppm is 900:
900*2/1000= 1.8 EC

This is new to me, I usually don't fill my buckets so that there is runoff but I will try it and then take some measurements.

Oh - your English is very good!
