A thought occurred to me and I'm wondering other peoples thoughts, also if there is anything written on the subject out there in the intertubes.
When someone is doing IBL strains: what keeps these inbreeds from becoming genetic monsters as would happen with an animal you were breeding in that fashion for as long as weeds been breed?
When you add on the ability to cut out the genetic linage of the males by feminizing and then breeding those "broken" genetic histories. Are we damaging the plant we love at a genetic level?
Is High THC or anything we breed for, simply a Mutant gene expressions? And then we perpetuate it with our breeding techniques?
Is it possible that the reason we can't replicate the weed from the 70's is that we've pissed in the gene pool for far too many generations?
I guess once it's all legal and we can get a proper Genome survey done and know for sure the amount of information loss. Has any research been done on this subject?
