Indoor Smells

Hello fellow growers!

My plants are doing great, I am growing Blue Dramatica from Elite Oregon Seeds. I have two plants outside and two indoors. Funny thing, the out door plants stink in a beautiful way(!) but the indoor plants have NO ODOR at all? Not even from rubbing the stems do I get any stink. Otherwise, the indoor plants are twice the size of my outdoor plants so I trust they are healthy.

Just weird? Lacking something? Does it even matter? Any thoughts or comments?

Just curious what you guys think and happy to be here!

hey @Morb and to afn! me thinkz ur third ques, "doez it even matter" appliez here, lol but then again, me not the most knowledgeable of the peepz here so i'd wait for otherz to chime in u didn't say if they're flowering or not cuz that'z when the smell really startz coming out...not to mention that if u have an exhaust fan and/or filter running, that contributez to lack of smell...jus me own 2 ctz :smoking:

some strains smell a lot less i prefer them to be honest and some really get there stink later on in flower if there growing healthy your golden pal

My bad, the plants are still in the veg state. I have a fan circulating air in the closet. They get great air circulation. Just funny the two outside you can smell before you see them and the two inside may as well be plastic flowers ; )

As long as they produce giant sticky stinky babies I won't complain!

Environmental differences. Different light spectrum, temps and humidity bring forward different terpene profiles.

You can see similar changes running the same strain under HPS and led.

There are old school genetics here that if you run in anything but soil, outdoors, with worm castings, you won't recognize it. The old 80s skunks come to mind. Bring her indoors, and the funk left.

Hi @Morb Welcome to AFN. What kind of lights are you running. I run DIY COBs and improved my terpene profiles a lot by adding a couple of AgroMax UVA Plus 10,000k florescent lights to my grows starting about the second week of flower. Keep daytime temps under 78°F RH 40% - 60% veg. 40% - 50% flower. You can only get AgroMax in the continental USA.
