New Grower Small autogrow setup

You can start inside even with the contractor there. It usually takes at least 2 days for the seedling to pop up, and at first it's just a seedling, they wouldn't be able to tell what the plant is for at least a week after it germinates.

Good luck! :)

Thats a good point!!! Why didn't I think of that...
Anyway, the work will he done on Monday so I will hold out until then, just bought half ounce anyway! [emoji5]

I really cannot wait on get this underway!

I have decided to germinate them straight in the coco pots rather than the shotglass/paper towel method.

There are a lot of divided opinions on whether to use a 'dome' while germinating in coco? What do you think? I might do one with and one without to see the difference...

Lighting wise, I was going to use 12/12 while germinating, then up to 18/6 or 20/4 when they sprout, would this be ok?

Actually, while it doesn't sprout, the seed will be in the dark, so it doesn't really matter.

I use hydroponics plugs, then transplant them with the plugs into a mesh cup and cover the plug with clay pebbles.

If I were you, I'd use the cover until the seedling is just short of an inch tall. I also spray my seedlings with water everyday, at least once a day. I also spray plants that are not flowering once a day. They seem to enjoy it!

Let us know when you get started. :)

I'm sorry, that's not right. The sprout will reach towards the light as it grows and the roots will grow in the opposite direction. I run the light in my Aerogarden, where I germinate seeds, at 18/6.
