Is it possible to slow down the ripening process at all? Im just starting to see some Amber on leaves, still seeing clear in buds but need about 10 days before I could harvest. Grown indoors under 24hr on.

Dunno. I don't run 24 hours a day personally. Don't see the benefit to harvest a couple days earlier? And running 18 hours a day has NEVER affected my yields. So there's that. You could reduce the schedule to 18/6 for a bit. Shouldn't hurt anything. I would stick to that schedule for the remainder of time though and not raise it. I once changed my schedule to 16/8 once to see if I could prolong harvesting for a week when it was really hot once. I dunno if it helped, I waited the week anyway and it was all good.

In addition to the light thing- which is a total shot in the dark. Only thing I can think of is possibly trying to lower the temps? Like a good amount. Like a 10 degree drop in temp. I would think that getting them colder, would delay a lot of things. YMMV.

Lighting and temp are what I had in mind but was uncertain if there was any serious evidence of any of this. Guess I can try and dim and drop temps a bit to hopefully slow metabolism but my luck that will likely speed up ripening!! LOL!!! I guess I'll give it a go.

I don't think you really have much to lose to be honest. I've tried it all = dark and no water until they looked dead, cold AF, whatever. They all get me high! But going colllllld seems like it would be an obvious way to at least delay the harvest point? I really dunno. I think I'm a genius! But really I'm not. Just gotta play around with it and see what happens.

Didn't think about that one - maybe 60F?

Yeah, me thinks (the genius idiot that I am) that you'd have to go low on the temp. 10 or 20 degrees might do it. Assuming we're starting at around 80-82F. Slow the uptake of nutes a little and hopefully the ripening point. It sounds really good on paper to me! So someone try it.

EDIT - somewhere below 70F is more likely to do something positive. But who knows?

Try not to go by the leaves but on the “calyx” themselves, if you’re harvesting in 10 days stopping the ripening would not be beneficial perhaps:shrug:
