I'm having a similar thing with one of my two plants,I'm getting slight yellowing on the tips but this is on the higher leaves near the new growth,iv got a shitty soil tester and it's reading around 7,iv got a digital soil ph tester on the way to get a more accurate reading. My water with nutes in is reading 6.8 but I borrowed I ph pen to test as I'm waiting on mine arriving this week.anyway I'm wondering if I should get some dolomite lime for my soil to try dropping the ph,is this a good idea or should I wait for my stuff to arrive this week and get an accurate reading?

well dolomite lime would raise your ph.... 6.8 is tolerable.... have any pics?

def wait and get an accurate reading... with pics we might be able to get you back on track before you get your gear...

My gear should all be here by Wednesday John so I'll take a better reading then..and also take a pic later on or tomorrow morning and post it for you to look at as iv got company arriving shortly.I know a pic will help alot more so I'll get one up soon as poss.cheers JM

hey heres a pic of my plant thats started to develope yellow tips up near the top.its only at the very tips but iv noticed it on other leaves to and not sure what to do.View attachment 15946 View attachment 15947 the pics aint the best and it is only slightly yellowing.im feeding both veg and bloom but only in a half dose at the moment so i dont think im over feeding, heres how the whole plant looks View attachment 15948 View attachment 15949 i think they look ok, but im not an expert so what do you guys think based on the pics

well they look pretty halthy overall... thatlittle thing in the tips looks like P K defficiency...

hows your ph?

ph vs uptake.gifph vs uptake 2.jpg

If you have a soil meter check your ph... if not... water with ph'ed water... and check runoff... you wanna see your runoff or soil in the 6.3 - 6.5 range... looks like it might be starting to climba little high... evn 6.8 is tolerable... wouldnt go over that thought.. thats when those lockouts start... if you look at the chart on the left you can see why ph is sooooo important... hope this helps and let us know... we'll keep you on track.

Right so iv got my digital ph tester today and tested my water,it came back 7.6. I then added my veg nute and that took it down to 6.4..I then tested my current mix of veg/bloom and its down to 6.1 should I look at raising this a little? I have a digital soil tester too,it only goes up in 0.5 readings and that reads 6.5/7.0 so I'm guessing it's somewhere in between. Will my higher soil reading balance out my lower feed ph or does the soil ph need correcting too? I will test my run off after there next feed.I can't see the yellowing tips getting any worse so hopefully things have calmed down-: run off water tested and coming in at 6.6,so I guess that's all good and dandy :)

I would be happy with her.

I agree with bailer... just keep your future waterings 6.3 - 6.5.... and you should be ok ... cheers!
