Simultaneous seed mother and future pollen donor

Maybe, depends on what else intrigues me next winter. Accidental seeding of other plants ain't gonna hoppen, so I would have to set up a completely separate grow space... The dilemma will be what should I make seeds from, given that I will only do one pollen donor? Decisions, decisions.

You could also find a similar strain to reverse and use that seed as the mom. So more of the babies are like mom.
Just some food for thought.

True enough. I don't have a lot of interest in doing crosses myself though, too small a grow, little interest in chasing phenos to get to something stable, and not much interest in crap shoot seeds for my limited grow time. Too many interesting established strains, too little time and space.

I have a lot of respect for those who take on strain breeding seriously. It is a significant project to do it well.

OTOH, one girl I have in the rotblock test is a cross between likely closely related cbd strains. So far, it autoed fine, but smells nothing remotely like the CBD Kush strain that was my side of the cross. The vape test will presumably reveal whether it has stuck with the CBD plan.

Right on. Yah I was thinking about stopping with seed runs and attempt growing them out and try selection. Its another skill needed, and try to "stabilize" it in a direction I want. The struggle is real hahaha. Darn 4 count limit.

The test run i did with my skunk hybrid came out super skunky. started to flower, then had to pull it and restart for my outdoor grow.
