1st time grower here. Have 3 seeds in soil in fabric pots. The seeds broke soil yesterday. I just checked on them today and they look a little beat up.

The cotyledons on 2 of them are droopy and curling downward. Both of the droopy girls had issues with the seed husk sticking. The tallest of the seedlings the cotyledons were stuck together (helmet head I think they call it). I used a toothpick to separate the cotyledons as gently as possible.

The shorter, unbent seedling had the shell stuck and hanging off the cotyledon. I removed it as gently as possible, but may have damaged it in the process as the husk was really stuck on there good.

The seedling that is bent came out of the soil like that with that link in the stem.

Soil is 1:1:1 black magic potting soil, perlite, jiffy seedling starter mix in 3 gal fabric pots

Soil slurried at 270ppm pH 6.5

I pre watered the pot with RO with 1/4 strength CalMag and cloneX. pHd at 6.2. I let the pot sit for 1 day and planted the pre germed seeds. I wet the area where the seed was planted with a mist bottle and have not touched it since.

I have them under a 55w actual draw LED shop light 5500k. Set maybe 6 inches away. No heat issues.

Question 1:. Should I be worried about the droopy cotyledons?

Question 2: will the bent seedling survive? Out of all of the seeds that one has been handled the least...so it's odd that it's the only one that seems to have physical damage.

Any insight is appreciated.
