Hi there.

Just want your opinions on spraying or misting. When i grew indoors i always use give the plants a little misting when lights come on and i done that to my plants even in flower, i didnt soak them just a light mist as i know you dont want them wet, now some other growers i knew at the time use to tell me off for this practise, but what about a plant grown outside and you have a rain shower?

You can't do much about that can you? Personally I think that the plants will be ok if, after a couple of rainy days, the sun lights up after so it dries the plant. If it doesn't... well, that sucks! It can lead to mold and diseases.

Yeh totally agree thats what i was saying, if i sprayed them lightly as lights came on then they would be dry very soon after wards so no mould would occurr.

Hey, sparrow.

I think you've already answered this question by-proxy. Does it rain in nature? Is sure does. Does cannabis have an oily, water-repellant coating on its buds? Yep.

So why all the panic about misting flowering indoor girls? Pretty much it's to limit the risk of budrot. However, if a grower can give an occasional misting yet mnage to keep the room humidity low, and also has plenty of ventilation then a misting does no harm.. and can in fact do good (cooling off the girls / washing away dust / opening the stomatas etc).

It's budrot that's the concern.. and of course coating the buds with crap if using watter-wetter or whatever.. but just plain water is perfectly ok to do in my experience. but I have excellent ventilation / ARH so I never see budrot anyway. But does misting in itself actually hurt them? Not at all as they like it.

:peace:
