Hello truu.Im growing in a mix of 2 different soils in a 20 litre airpot. I mixed 40% BioBizz All-Mix into 60% Plant Magic Soil Supreme. She is now 42 days old and starting to build buds. My fertaliser is Hy-Pro Terra Grow & Bloom (NPK 2-5-5)
I didn't feed her at all untill a few days ago and she was suffering from a little phosphorus def according to Muddy and i don't doubt him!. My soil PH was too acidic it was like 4 - 4.5 and i raised it by flushing with water and was going to wait for it to dry before feeding her but i could see the calcium def starting to produce those little orange spots and the new growth was looking a bit more yellow than normal so i decided it was best to feed her ASAP. I just gave a 1/4 dose of the Hy-Pro Terra and a full dose of Plant Magic Magne Cal+. I didn't give her as much water as i normaly would because i was very afraid of overwatering after the flush so the soils already dried out and i can see the bottom of the pot is dry.
I feel like i should just go on and give her another 1/4 dose of the Hy-Pro Terra and the normal full dose of Magne Cal+ untill i see a bit of runoff out the bottom of the pot. I just want to make double sure that it's the right thing to do.
Sounds like the plant has used up most of the nutrients in the soil. I would say feed with a 1/2 to full strength nutrients solution. I don't think a fI'll strength is going to hurt them. If she's hungry I would say go ahead and water again. You should be ok if there is proper drainage.
Ok Truu thanks for the advice i just gave her a half dose of the fertaliser and a full dose of magne cal+ until i saw run-off coming out the bottom of the pot. I only seem to need to put 3 litres of water into the pot for it to start flowing out the bottom. I hope that means the soil has good drainage! I thought it would have needed more since it's a 20 litre pot but i guess i was wrong.
