Northern lights looking much better. Not sure whats wrong with the purple chem

Hmph, yeah, what the heck went wrong there..... Try giving it a good soak, nice and slow, until you get some runoff out of the bottom. Might be dry down where you can't see.

If you've got a ph pen and an EC/ppm tester you could dig up a big of the soil and run a slurry test just to see if something is way off.

this is the ph meter I use. Been calibrated twice. I'm scared to water cause the pot is extremely heavy. So I assume it has plenty of water. But I suppose I can do what you mentioned in the morning. My temps have been 79 degrees exact all week. Light is 24/0 and 24 inches away from top of plant. I am really bummed out about it.

hi there bud, don’t beat yourself down buddy, every first timer will have these moments, just hang in there, . I only ended up with one plant in the end, and she did well.
Personally I would suggest changing your light cycle now, like you I started on 24/0 just in the hope of getting her off to a good start, but I don’t think the plant liked it too much and I started to get taco and dried leaves, very similar to yours. Then I changed to 20/4 with the lights and she started to perk up again, she Really seemed to appreciate the rest. I know these plants are supposed to be able to handle 24/0 light, maybe it’s strain dependent, I’m still learning myself, . Just keep going at it buddy , you will be fine.

I agree with the Sheriff. I have my lights on 18/6 and have no issues. The way i see it is that plants have downtime in nature so im happy to give them a break too. just my :2cents:.

Thanks man. Every time I look at it I feel it is worse and worse. But could just be head games. So changing the light cycle won't shock them at all? I don't want to piss my northern lights off cause she is doing so good. Almost tempted in tossing the purple chem outside and just trying a new grow for indoor. Only thing is, its 100 degrees outside. Thanks for advice

nope, no worriez ;) autoz could give a shit less what the light is doin  and as far as puttin the purp chem outside, as long as u keep her added thirst quenched, she won't bat an eye at 100f ;) jus get some straw to put on top o' the soil, to help keep it cooler, and thus, keep it from dryin out as fast & unevenly...workz a treat  ppp
