Set up issue and humidity

I did buy a cheep fan speed controller but there was like a buzzing sound and people said it can damage the motors of the fans ect so I thought after this grow I will invest in an exhaust fan that’s designed for it. Plus that’s now being used on the fan on the roof of the tent lol I’m not sure if you’ve seen it in my earlier pics. My extraction length is less than a meter so it’s pulling out quick I suppose I could put a weak fan in the middle of the intake ducting but I don’t want that to cool the air to much. I have read negative pressure is good but i suppose the question is how much is to much

unless ur using a fan that's huge let's say 8in so it's got lots of cfm the only difference I've seen is the walls of the tent suck in more with the higher com used and you will have a smaller space bc of it now it will cause more stress @ the seems possibly wearing out the stitching. I've personally used a 400cfm 6in in a 2x4 and it works awsome especially when we get heat waves I also like a bigger fan bc I can run it @ 1 or the lowest setting on the controller and it's very quite and that is 100% necessary for my setup to be as quite as I can make it. Also the exhuast should be as close to the top as possible as hot air rises so the exhuasts intake should be as even with the top as u can. Any ? Lmk bud love helping our community

Yeah proper speed controllers aren't cheap but they also don't buzz or damage your fan! They do however still use the full wattage of the fan no matter what speed you run it
Which is why you might consider an EC Fan next time
EC fans (Electronically Commutated) , EC fans don't buzz and are cheaper to run.
At half the speed, EC fans use half the electricity they'd use at full power. At a quarter speed, EC fans use a quarter of the electricity. This isn’t the case with AC fans. EC fans are also quieter and more powerful. However they are not cheaper to buy.

Air is needed and you need to change the air in your tent every 3 minutes.
I am wondering why the air in the room where you have the tent, has such cold air???
Does that room have no heating?
If this is the case you could heat the room to 15C - 20C dunno what that is in F.
Then the air being drawn into the tent won't be so cold.

Hi again everyone, really don’t want to keep asking questions but, I’m still stuck with my humidity.. temp is good and stable. Drops a bit at night but nowhere near what it was so sucking the air from the house is working. It’s only being sucked from a small coat room.

I’m going to try a small dehumidifier but I don’t want to dry out my coco to much. I read a page saying it should be kept above the lights..... ?? Is it a stupid question to ask on where to put it?

Also I have notice the plants closest to the exhaust is the ones I’m having most trouble with ie drooping leaves ect. Is it possible there not getting enough oxygen?

As your medium dries, the roots will access more oxygen. If you're exchanging the air in the grow room as you clearly are there is plenty of essential gases oxygen included in the environment. If you're having trouble with ones near the air intake or exhaust I'd more suspect the medium in those pots may be drying too fast throwing pH and such outta wack. Or they could be wind burnt/transpiring too much. Doubt oxygen is the cause either way. My dehumidifier sits on the floor out of necessity opposite the vent, but the pot closest to the intake vent actually runs the driest usually.

Thanks for your reply, the pots are actually very heavy as i was considering a potential overwatering with one plant i have been having drooping issues with, I have started watering it every other day for the last two days and it’s still up and down but showing has been more perky than usual, although I’m not sure if it’s because of watering less or not. No obvious signs of wind burn, I will put the dehumidifier on the floor then.. it did seem the logical option but you know what it’s like when you google stuff it comes up with all sorts or madness and gets your mined over thinking haha.

I know what you mean. So much info it can be mind boggling. About any given aspect of growing you can think of there's a million ways to optimize the setup. You're in 70/30 coco/perlite right? I wouldn't think once a day watering would cause over watering in that medium but I could be wrong.
