Extraction SerVm and Massterpenes

Rosin and QWET are two very different concentrates and they behave differently when thinned. Rosin is whole plant extraction and will retain terpenes and flavors. QWET is fractional and only the actives will remain no terpenes or flavor. I have not used SerVum on QWET really it would be a waste as it is not needed to thin winterized QWET. Use the flavor of your choice with Liquefy on QWET since you are starting from scratch. The thing you are going to find from experience no matter how well you winterize the QWET waxes and lipids will still be in it and eventually will clog and/or burn the cart. This is why I have moved away from it to rosin and SerVum.

Sounds good thank you. Just finished my first nicely amber and clear reduction with a quick three minute frozen QWET. It’s getter thicker as I write and it cools. Nice smell so it’s further then I have ever gotten. I have now realized VG ruined a bunch of tries so now I will follow the sage advice of you and @Mañ'O'Green and get some of this product. I just reduced some Critical and will be doing some Forgotten Cookies as my first vape oil attempts. Any recommendations as to flavors to compliment those two or........ feel like I’m getting a better idea on what it will take to get to the final product. I believe I saw a post @Ripper where you mention 50/50 Serum and liquify but don’t remember where. Is that something you still do or was that my imagination? Or maybe it was MOG about the thickness.

Thanks for helping me get it a bit more. Do you have a recommendation on the carts? I believe I saw you mention a select for the CCEL that you had good luck with, is that the best way to go still?

I have had the best luck with the CCells myself. I prefer the smaller cartridges. You can use just serVm and have a very fine end product that tastes natural. For the record I have never use Qwet. I only use rosin and terpenes with SerVm.

Thank you again, going to order the CCells and place an order with MT. I have finally been able to reduce my QWET to a very clean product so will start with the liquify and Terps. Ordering Dabpress plates and going to setup up a press and try the SerVm route also. It will just be a matter of making small batches with the excellent reference points that you both have established to test final product.

I am going to run kief most likely through my press to begin. And I’m going to order a prepress. I know 90 micron bags were mentioned as an essential. But I have also seen mention of people running no bags. What would be he circumstance where that is done and how do you do it without contamination of the rosin? Either way I’m getting bags but curious as to why some people don’t. Is there a major loss of product? I was going to do as some have done a soak the bags after the second 220 degree press to get the product for edibles.

I have done test after test and the yield is considerably better with a bag for flower. I do all my flower bottle tech style in a bag. Not sure about keif.

I ordered both the liquify and the sample 4 packs of liquify. Then I grabbed a four pack of just the Terps to try both ways. Did not grab the servm this round but maybe I’ll get lucky and get a free sample. Spent over $100. Ordered the 3 by 5 dabpress plates and when the arrive I’ll mock up my own housing to use with a 20t bottle jack( I’ll be gentle) going to use that to get started and then once the press is done place a second order to get SerVm and go from their. Want to try QWET with liquify first and then rosin with SerVm second then I want to dillute and winterize rosin and try that with flavored liquify. Then I guess I’ll decide best taste and yield for all purposes. Once I have any of the items I’ll get to work on it it another thread and probably need some feedback. I think I got a good handle on it. Just testing my hot plate tonight to see if temp control is good. And it was to another piece sorted. Just watching the mail box now.
