Why bother with a drifting reservoir? With such a simple 1-ingredient feeding regimen, no other nutes involved, why not pre-weigh the MC and just refill/remix daily or as needed?
Otherwise, when I used 1-part MC with coco/perlite, I never bothered to even check pH, much less adjust it, and did rather well, much the same as using AN pH Perfect. MC, with its high-end chelates (like AN), is somewhat pH Perfect-like and works well over a wide range of pH. Particularly as you move to using better water, you may not need to adjust the pH. [But I'm not the best role model].

I am off to check the rez now with the just distilled I put in last night. I am a really "hands on" kind of mom, and check my ladies every day (as they are right next to me here in livingroom!) and feeding them small amounts at a time is rather a good idea.
