What is your input PH? The difference between the input PH and the out put is the actual PH of the medium. If it goes in at say, 6.4 and comes out at 6.0 your PH in the medium prior to adding solution is 5.6.
sorry i had to read that 8 times stoned/dyslexic:paleo: i could never do those maths questions in school

A train leaves Cairo at 3:00 am, averaging 30 mph.
Another train headed in the same direction leaves Cairo at 6:00 am, averaging 60 mph.
To the nearest tenth, how many hours after the second train leaves will it overtake the first train?:face:

so your saying that you take away the difference from the output ? and that is the ph of the medium before you water the plant

Yes you subtract from the out put if it's lower than the input and vs versa. In this case, you've Raised the PH to 6.0 by adding the 6.4 PH solution.

I've been keeping my inputs around the 6.2-6.4 range. My last feed was 585ppm/6.3ph, and the runoff for all 3 ranged from 565-615ppm and 6.1-6.2pH.

My understanding is that, while not a perfect indicator of in-pot pH, the soil affects the input and moves the runoff in the direction of the soil pH. So in my case it would be safe to assume that the soil pH is lower than input, by how much is a complete guess. But since it is fairly close to input it would be reasonable to expect somewhere around 5.9-6.0 (FYI, my medium is Pro-mix HP which is peat based)

I may be wrong though. I would check with my Apera Soil probe but it just recently failed and am waiting for a warranty replacement that is en route.
