Day 80: CUT! Last day. This was a really fun grow. The seeds/plant were just phenomenal. Easy all the way through even with a definite screwup by me mid flower. However, finished incredibly strong. Cut and hung this afternoon, should have a final weight update in about a week.
@St. Tom - Thanks for the help and support along the way. And also for keeping track of us in here. It's a true blessing to have such an available and helpful resource.
@Seedstockers-Mark - Thank you so much for the opportunity to grow these seeds! I am absolutely looking forward to running this one again, in maybe, a slightly larger container. Although the height on some of these is terrifying! Absolute monster potential....
What did I do: I ran Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro in veg, followed by their Bloom and MagPro in flower. This plant did not like the Bloom/MagPro. I tried adjusting partway through and the leaves went all crispy on me. Yikes! Took me a week to sort out a new bloom-ish feed. I ended up using 100ppm of Seni CalMag Extra, 250ppm FoliagePro, and 100ppm of GreenPlanets MassiveBloom. Plant seemed much happier with that odd blend.
I generally gave 250-300ml of feed AM and PM about 12 hours apart. Typically got between 60-100ml of runoff. Ran 18/6 light schedule the whole way through. I carefully charted runoff PPM and pH to watch for swings and issues. I did feed by ppm and not a set ml/gal schedule so the Veg schedule worked but flower needs a ton of adjustment for small volume coco. Watching runoff ppm was easy to see when to increase and when to back off. 450-550 seemed like the ideal range where runoff held steady at just slightly over 600ppm.
Final pics:
Yes, some algae tinged water in the bottom. Needed ballast to keep it upright the last week or two!
Cut and hung: 8 nicely spaced branches in total. Made harvest a breeze.
