Hey guys I am new here but excited to be apart of this amazing community. Am a long time lurker here. I just have a few questions for my first grow so I make sure I get everything I need without really messing anything up.

1. Will roots organic 707 be to hot for seedlings or should I use roots organic original instead? I will be planting in the main pot with no transplanting.
2. Will Fox farms trio be enough nutes in roots organic soils? If so how many weeks do you think I should wait before I start feeding? Any other nutes you guys recommend? Trying to start strong. But not overdo it.
3. I need to use a Reverse Osmosis system, will RO water need any supplements? I was reading I need to put calmag in my water when watering is this true?
4. Is mixing dolomite lime with my roots organic a good idea?
5. I have a Quantum Board how high should I hang it during seeding, veg, flower?

Thanks in the meantime guys! I will appreciate any answers to these questions.

Ok.. Let's see here..

1.. No, and it's personal preference. They offer different soil mixes for different growing styles. Pick the one that works best for your growing style....

2. Not sure what you mean by enough.. But yes, it will be "enough".. 2B.. There is no time table. You start feeding when the plant looks hungry. Could be 1 week.. Could be 4 weeks. Every plant is different... 2C.. There are tons of nutrient recommendations on here. Pick one that fits your growing style. Asking for recommendations is tricky. The person answering may not grow in the same style as you and will have a different environment, thus different results.

3. No.. Read the ingredients of the "organic" soil. Im sure it has more than enough calcium sources in it. 3B..You feed the plant what it needs as it shows signs that it needs something. If extra calcium is needed, the plant will show that. No need to just add it for the hell of it.

4. No.. You may want to read up on what dolomite lime is and what it does. Roots Organic soils are extremely solid with their ph.

5. That info would come from the manufacturer of the board. We have no way of knowing. We don't know the watts, the coverage, the diodes used, if it's dimmable ect.. I'd stick to whatever the manufacturer suggests.

Hope this helps a bit..
