Seedling leaves curling and browning at the tips

:smokebuds:I don't see any reason you can't flush them.Thats about the only thing you can do right now.

I just checked the run off ph and it was about 4 so it looks like ill be flushing them today

Should I feed my plants nutes right after I flush them or wait until their next watering?

I would hold off on nutes until next watering.:smokebuds:

Hey everybody, I am still on my first grow but I have started new seedlings in my mother tent. They are about 2 weeks old and are starting to brown at the tips and curling down. They were started in roots organic 707 soil and are under 4 4 foot 10000k cfls that I have going 24/7 and they as close as I can get them without touching. The temperature in my room stays between 70-79 and the humidity is between 45-60rh. One is a white widow(not autoflower) and the other is a cream caramel auto. Any info would be very helpful! Thanks:peace:

Classic nute burn, the soil was too hot for them. If you do flush, don't feed them right after you do, the point was to remove the water soluble nutrients, adding them back in would be all for naught. Personally I'd keep the widow and ditch the auto. When you stunt an auto that young, it's stunted for good :( It's not the lights burning them as alley suggested, burn has more of an even cover pattern. I'd suggest switching the bulbs in your light to a mix of two 6500k and two 2700k. The 10,000k might look like it's a good mimic of natural light, but you'll get more photosynthetically active light with the other ones.

Try raising the light up a few inches to encourage growth. They need to stretch for the light just a little bit so they can have space between the internodes (where the branches meet the main stalk) You want about 1 inch internode space if you can wing it.

Another thing is when you take the temperature and humidity of your grow space, your meter should be right at the top level of your canopy (the average area the tops of your plants are at) so you know the score where the action is going on.

If you're looking for a soil to start seedlings in I'm getting great results with plain ol roots organic potting soil. Some people say it's too hot, but I'm getting spectacular results so far.

That's about all I can think of for now, sending grow karma your way.

You really think I should get rid of the autos? I have 5 going right now and I really don't wanna just throw them out

I agree, that soil looks too hot for seedlings. I wouldn't scrape them yet. Overall their size looks okay for 2 week old plants. I'd do the flush and get your pH back in line, then see how they do before making a decision on them.
