Seedling emergence - how long waiting?

Hi folks

Just wondering how long ppl generally wait before a seed you germinated and sow doesn't break soil? A week or longer? Assuming enviro is good

Should break through in 2-4 days if temps are at least 70 and planted half inch down. If you meet those levels id probably be willing to dig it up to see what's going on after 10 days it definitely should have popped

Direct germ? Depends. I've had seeds break in 48 hours. I've also had them take 10 days. Some shells are thicker/harder than others. I always direct germ just trying to mimic nature as closely as possible and recently planted a Blueberry Auto and a Skywalker OG. Different breeders. After 10 days I didn't have a sprout in either one so I dropped 2 new seeds. 3 days later I had 2 sprouts in each pot. You really have to be patient when waiting on sprouts. And how deep you place the seeds matters too. I personally feel like putting them a little deeper you get a little healthier stalk earlier on with the downside of waiting longer for a sprout.
